Motherwood formed in 2016 when friends Guilherme Malosso (DeathTron, Minottauro) and Yuri Camargo (DeathTron, Macatênia) began writing some black metal stuff together.
The project was born out of their shared knowledge and admiration for the atmosphere/doom/black metal music in the style of early Katatonia, Opeth, Burzum and Emperor.
The first 7 tracks were written and recorded mixing melodic and aggressive elements, and the lyrical theme is "The anguish that nature feels about the human being".
