Yuggoth was created in autumn 2001 in Moscow, Russia. It was formed as doom/death metal band and by the autumn 2002 debut demo was recorded. The searching of their own music face never stoped and the next release - 5song ep CHAOS THEORY (2003) has absolutely nothing in common with neither doom nor death metal. This ep has got good reviews but all the critics had problems with the definition of style of this music. Heavy guitar sound with lyrical melodies.. Yuggoth has considered to call it 'heavy metal'

In current state Yuggoth have prepared new material ~ more funky, more aggressive, more powerful and much more qualitative - SUNSETS (2005). It contains pure hardrock/metal tracks with experiments with some thrash/alternative/funky elements - strapping and energetic guitar riffs, emotional voice and non-straightforward rhythms. This release is also highlighted by a marked lyrical growth tackling themes of inner demons, pain and despair
