Biography

L.A.P.D. was an American rock band. L.A.P.D. stood for "Love And Peace Dude" and later on "Laughing As People Die". The band was active from 1989-1993. L.A.P.D. was James "Munky" Shaffer, David Silveria, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu together with the singer "Richard Morill" (often misspelled Moral/Morales). Because of a drug addiction Morill stepped out of the band. David, Munky and Fieldy added friend/roadie Brian "Head" Welch and went on and found a new vocalist. Jonathan Davis, who played with Sex Art at that moment joined the band and they went on to form Korn in 1993.

In 2010, after 17 years of silence, Richard Morill started L.A.P.D. up again with all new members. This re-start was short-lived. In early 2011 the band broke up again.
