Founded April 12th, 2003 by Fenrir & Vali. The band recorded their first and only full-lenght, Nordheim in June of 2005, along with Gungnir ''Wrathlord'' (member of Doomsword, as it is Vali) and bassist Nidhoggr.

Vali and Fenrir say they have met in a pub, maintaining contact after sometime before deciding to start the Gjallarhorn project.
