The story begins in 1981. Retreated to a cave in the Paris suburbs, two brothers, Daniel (guitar and vocals) and Vincent Puzio (bass), are heat amps with two friends, Didier LOHEZIC (guitar) and Richard (drums). Their shared passion for powerful motorcycles and rock and roll have welded their friendship. They roam a directory playing covers of their idols as Grand Funk Railroad, Ten Years After, ACDC and Motorhead. Quickly around them advised them to form a real band and compose their own music. Richard does not feel the soul of a great drummer and gives a friendly place to another friend of the band, Franck Vilatte. The group works hard and compositions are heavily influenced by Motörhead. It only remains to find a name that represents the rage of these young wolves. He is the cousin of Didier Lohézic, which launched the idea of Vulcan. The Roman god, in the heat of the forge is the "Master of Lightning" and epitomizes the "Force Metal" that drives the quartet. Vulcan was born and will become a legend of French hard rock.
Within months, Vulcan occurs on small stages and the rumor is growing. Their victory springboard Golf Drouot marks the beginning of their careers.


In 1983, the English label Ebony Records offers to participate in the compilation Metal Plated, then the group opened several dates for a tour Motörhead imposing Vulcan as the spearhead of a new Gallic hard.


In 1984, Rock'n Roll Secours is canned in days Maunoir studio in Geneva, Switzerland. He goes on Devil's Records and in the process, followed by Max 45s The Iron Lady. In 1985, Franck Vilatte personal problems forced to leave the group. The recording of the next album and dates are already booked in a hurry, Vulcan auditioning drummers. At the dawn of the 90s, the world of music is changing. The appearance of the CD format, provides an opportunity to highlight his discography group and sign a new contract with Musidisc. Musically, the band think we should evolve and modernize the image of Vulcan. In engage the young virtuoso guitarist Franck Pilant's new album Transition marks a real turning, critically acclaimed but not suitable for all fans. The label of "French Motöread" no longer relevant. After a few rounds, Frank leaves the adventure and was replaced by Marcos Arrieta, another virtuoso of the six strings. The four musicians choose Corsica to record their fifth studio album Big Bang, released in 1992. Still some tensions escalate the group and Marcos bows.

The Puzio brothers Marc and then decide to stay in a trio and compose a more rock album. For the occasion, they change the label and signed with Mixit distributed by PIAS and symbolically baptize Vulcan album, released in 1994. To confirm a trio of Vulcan, Atomic Live is recorded in Pau, during a date with the Killers, and Locomotive in Paris. This album is a bomb that was released in 1996 in Media7.


Already fifteen year career, and XIIIbis Records label offers Vulcan market a compilation that Compilaction ironically named Vincent, who was adopted as the final title and released in 1997. Recognizing a record market that is becoming increasingly difficult and general fatigue, the three musicians think about ending the band's career. They go under the sun of Toulouse at Polygon studio to record Stop the machine that will be the last album of the band and released in 1998. Despite prestigious dates in the company of Motörhead, which also imposes Vulcan on the Paris Bataclan date, or Deep Purple, this is apparently the end of the story of a legend of French hard rock. THERE will be a few concerts and Daniel did not resolve to put an end to his group, creating tension with Marc, who left the band in April 2000, in a rather gloomy atmosphere. Marc then formed his own group and Blackstone sign two albums and a third XIIIbis Records Brennus. Vincent opened his store musical instruments Paris and has more taste to play too. For his part Mr Jack Daniel founded with the rhythm section of the group H Bomb often shared the stage with Vulcan in the 80s. Their first album was released in 2009 in Bernett Records. Years pass and Daniel and Marc remain on their bitter separation. Despite incessant demand from fans and attempts to close or Philippe Michel, the organizer of the Paris Metal France Festival, the two people involved are on their position and refuse to discuss any possibility of reviewing a Vulcan day on stage. It was not until January 2009 and the events of the Paris Metal France Festival Locomotive, involving Blackstone and Mr Jack for some fans attending a discreet and symbolic handshake between the two musicians. Several other meetings were held at various concerts in Paris and no one dares talk about a possible reunion. It was only in October that Vincent decided to propose the unthinkable meeting, saying: "It's now or never! ". In November Daniel Vincent and Marc organize a memorable rehearsal and announce, finally, officially the long awaited return of Vulcan.

Vulcan back on stage April 16, 2010, at the legendary club Chez Paulette, near Nancy, and the audience is waiting for you. Full house for their return, the group is a little stressed, but quickly returns to the natural gallop as the public is unleashed. Vulcan quickly back on the road for twenty dates through the Hellfest, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland and Paris and will be the uptake of 1 st DVD of the group in an electrified by fans Trabendo before closing the year opening Motörhead December 14.
