Skumring was created in the early summer months of 2004, when Cecilie and Vàli were discussing to form a band.Already in the planning stages it became clear that the music we wanted to make would have to be heavy and melodic, thus the choise fell on doom metal.

We immediatly recruited Ole to play rhythm guitar, and KK joined later to handle the bass duties. We quickly started to rehearse self composed material, and after a few weeks without a drummer, Knut replied to our ad on the internet and the line-up was complete.

The first demo was released in the end of 2004, which of Aftermath Music quickly responded to, and suggested a re-issue of the demo with professional artwork and some adjustments in the sound. This became the bands first official release "De Glemte Tider", released in October 2005...
