Heavy
Half from 2014, half from 1988/89, all ugly as a whole.
Vocals are the highlight.

Blackened deathcore
Some pretty bitchin' deathcore. Imagine good deathcore, kinda down-tempo, with some old school bm-style production.
Black Metal
"They Became The Falling Ash", the product of a one man project, is a great album. Not only worthy of checking out, possibly a brilliant soundtrack for nocturnal explorations for the creepier parts of town or country near you.
Gentlemen music!
The gentlemen's club of A Forest Of Stars came again from the 1890's to bring us their fourth album of their unique take on atmospheric black metal.

Transcendental black/death
Infernal Vlad seems to like death. A lot. Death Karma is a new band that sees the Cult Of Fire front man teaming up with the band's drummer for a musical spectacle that can only be described as stunning. Black and death metal combine seamlessly, in a way that is both thundering and bang-able, but also eerily hypnotic and surprisingly catchy with its sense of groove and enhancement from Vlad's distinct sense of melody. If these guys needed any further proof that they're incredibly skilled composers, this is it. Early AOTY contender.
Stoner/Sludge
It's always weird listening to the tunes of an MS user. You are afraid they'll suck and then you'll have to let a cool dude know his tunes suck. No worries here, just crunchy riffs and tasty tunes. Really solid album. How solid? The best thing to come from India since chicken Tikka Masala.
Prog
Beardfish excel with their new album. It is an exercise in rhythms but it's also so much more. It will take you places because it's a bloody fantastic prog album. It is truly exciting music.
Industrial Siberian Khatru Metal
What would happen if Genghis Khan traveled in time to our current era, stole Fredrik Thordendal's guitar, and then played an electronic symphony for himself back in the 1200s with it and his own little folk instruments while his hordes swept across the steppes of Russia? Why, Senmuth's Dakhmas would happen, of course.
symphonic metal
Like leaves that fall between two trees grown together in the majestic beauty that is the chance and fate of nature, Kowai's Dissonance covers the listener in poetic sorrow and somber symphonic metal melodies. Lush keyboards, calming guitars, and vocals with lyrics that plead for escape, Kowai's debut offers a wintry embrace that warms the shivering soul with a cathartic sense of pride.

funeral thrash
No sophomore slump here... Tort are back with more ugly, gritty music that mixes some doomy vibes with crunchy thrash riffing and a swell mix of growls and shrieks. Oh, and even more soundclips from B-grade Spanish horror flicks to introduce the tunes. Good times.
scandinavian metal punk
Perfect Christmas gift idea for those uncles of yours who've been so drunk and so Metal since the late-70s/early-80s they didn't realize this year's Christmas already happened. Also this is probably the closest we'll get to a new Aura Noir track at the moment. The fuck else you want?
