Nocturno Culto and Fenriz have formed a new record label, Tyrant Syndicate Productions in cooperation with UK label Peaceville Records.

Varg Vikernes of Burzum contributed lyrics to Transilvanian Hunger and Panzerfaust.

"The Misanthrope" (released 2007) is an art film made by Ted "Nocturno Culto" Skjellum and features other black metal musicans such as Grutle Kjellson and Aura Noir.
The movie focuses on the atmosphere, rather than having facts and interviews, it has many different clips accompanied by ambient/noise music made by Ted Skjellum. There is also music by Aura Noir, Enslaved, Gallhammer, Virus and Darkthrone. More info here.

The song "Kathaarian Life Code" is featured in the last scene of the film Demonlover (2003).

Before changing their name to Darkthrone in '87, they were called Black Death.
