I used to work in a restaurant when I was in college, 9am-2am lol. Some of those days we're brutal.

I'm supposed to be available to work until 5 but it rarely happens. Once our job is done we don't have to sit around twiddling our thumbs for an hour.

I only work 7 hour days. 9-4 with a paid hour lunch.

Welcome to 3rd world working. India doing fairly well in IT, so we have 5 days working. Otherwise, it's a 6 hrs day working.

Than go self-employed and you can do what you want but big no no if you work in healthcare, law enforcement and other critical sectors. Imagine bin men working 6hrs a day 4 days a week in a big city
