when i see the confirmation on the respective official sites, i will believe. but it is just beyond real that mayhem, sodom and immortal to be there. there's a higher chance of led zeppelin being there.. with bonzo.

yeah, but the ticket+trip is just way to expensive for me. plus there are a lot of concerts i want to attend this summer. unless i get some job for the summer..

There's rumors of ___///::SLAYER::\___ headlining the first day(there are talks about a ___///::SLAYER::\___ show in Romania in August).. if that is right then i swear i'm gonna wet myself

well it's about time if you asked me....it's the first huge-scale open air festival here, i hope it turns out as awesome as it seems. my only complaint is the second day when there is no definite highlight for me. it's totally redeemed though by the 4th day when Paul DiAnno will play only early Maiden shit, and the 3rd day when Amon Amarth will headline, and possibly the first day when X band will be playing(i hope it'll be ___///::SLAYER::___ but i'm not sure)

if it's WASP or Anthrax it should make for an excellent ___///::SLAYER::___ substitute(for me)

mmm well second day has some enjoyable bands nonetheless. Awesome, Paul DiAnno, best Maiden singer, and Candlemass in the last day. I hope you'll manage to see Slayer btw, I heard they are a blast live.

Apparently they said in a radio interview that Onslaught will play and that their "cancellation" was only a misprint... o.O

hehehe i don't really care for them lol, but... FOREIGN BANDS IN ROMANIA OMG PWNZ

There's a tiny chance this might get canceled too, like ProgPower 2009, but i don't really think it's gonna be so. after all, there's only 10 days left before the fest, if any of the headliners would have not been paid or anything it would have surfaced by now... Amon Amarth was already confirmed in January and Candlemass and Paul DiAnno in March or something.

This is getting weird, bizarre, not to mention fishy. Amon Amarth says they've canceled, but Metal Masters say they didn't, it was another typing mistake 0.o and Immortal is probably going down(though i couldn't care less tbh)

tomorrow the proverbial shit will hit the fan when they announce the final line-up. i could use 270 RON right now tbh

According to Agathodaimon's blog the festival will now take place on Saturday, the 10th of October under the name "Bucharest Metal Meeting". Further bands still set to perform are Mayhem, Lake Of Tears and Primordial.

thanks for updating this, it's a shame, i won't take part in this fest unless Candlemass confirms or something, and i'm very sad to see that Amon Amarth can't play on those days but at least this will be the first big extreme music festival we've had in Bucharest, with some decently well-known black metal bands so i'm hoping that next year will bring some of my favorite bands at least. as for Immortal, FUCK THEM. i'm actually considering not going to Wacken 2010 if Immortal will have a huge time slot, those fucking prima donna's single-handedly murdered Rock City Open Air which would have been something truly unique and a first for us....
