Tell us if you do! That's a really pleasant fest, and this year's line-up is quite impressive. And there will be a bunch of MSers

Edguy as headliner.... i've already seen Edguy live, and the kindest way to put my opinion of that show would be that they were extremely disappointing, even for someone who didnt have high expectations concerning them
Adagio however, those i'd love to see

Well, Edguy, and especially Tobias Sammet, are good entertainers. He's constantly talking to the audience, trying to make some jokes... Though since Freak Kitchen are even better at that, Tobias will have to be ready! And also, Axxis' show is also very entertaining.
To be honest, I'm not really expecting to have fun watching Adagio. I saw them once, it was good but somehow I think they're a band I prefer to listen to on CD. Although, since their new album is a lot heavier, it might turn out to be excellent this time
I'm a bit sad that Green Carnation will "only" play for 40 minutes, but that will be their grand debut in France, and I'm not missing that for any reason!

Once again I don't know if I'll be able to come
Because the start of term is on September 1st, and it all depends on my timetable...

The new Manticora album is killer! If I were there, I definitely wouldn't want to miss out their gig. A pity they got such a miserable slot and only 30 minutes.

@ Sekhmet: Argh, too bad... Perhaps you can make it on Saturday only? Even though, Sunday's line-up is very appealing...
@ Promonex: yes Manticora came as a "bonus" since they're touring with Andromeda, so better 30 minutes than nothing
From what I've heard from them, they're gonna set fire to this Sunday afternoon!
@ Abyme: it's 2 or 3 hours from Paris by car (depending on where in Paris you live). There's a small train station at Raismes, and a bigger one at Valenciennes (cause it's just a few minutes to Raismes).

Gare du Nord-Valenciennes: only 2 hours by TGV (this train stops at Arras, that's the one I used to take )
Actually Saturday's line up seems more appealing to me (except for Andromeda on Sunday). Btw do you know if Atlantys (playing on Sunday) are the band from Arras? If they are, they're not really good :

Yep, that's this band. I've just checked them on MySpace and I have to agree with you, in fact, they sound a bit like Kyo.., but the cool thing is that they'll add even more variety to the small stage!
And believe me, there are some good bands, especially Crystal. Lots of female singers (Kells, The Outburst, Valkyre, Atlantys, Skeptical Minds...)
More info about the bands playing on the small stage here:

Errr, well, seems like the reason why I will miss GC is that they won't be playing: They were supposed to go on tour with Tristania, but Tristania cancelled the tour since their singer is having exams, or things like that... Cruel world.
Stereotypical Working Class will be replacing Green Carnation.

Hehe, well, that will be my first FK show (and Jeff's 145 FK show I guess) so my expectations are high... But I cannot think of any reasons why my expectations wouldn't be meet

Simply great, we had a sunny weather, met some cool guys (or should I say new friends) and saw good shows.
To me, highlights were Axxis, Freak Kitchen, Manticora, Edguy. I also enjoyed V8 Wankers and Pure Inc. a lot.
More people than those last years, so that's promising for next year and the 10th anniversary of the festival

Like every year I swear I won't miss it next time, but it will just be the same next year I fear : Anyway with the "bizutage" I couldn't have made it for the weekend, and I had fun as well so no regrets ... Except for Freak Kitchen!! I want to see them live one day
