Death - 'Scream Bloody Gore' Deluxe Reissue Announced

Relapse Records has announced the final chapter in the comprehensive Death reissue series: the legendary 1987 debut Scream Bloody Gore. The album is due out on a wide variety of formats this coming May 20th and has been newly remastered for this reissue. Like the preceding Death reissues, the deluxe reissue of Scream Bloody Gore has been meticulously remastered from the original tapes by Alan Douches (Death, Mastodon, Nile) and includes a plethora of bonus content, including previously unreleased recordings and rehearsal demos, super-expanded packaging, and brand-new extensive liner notes from former Death drummer/Autopsy founder Chris Reifert, Sepultura's Max Cavalera, and original Scream Bloody Gore producer Randy Burns.

Autumn: Death - Recording Debut Album

Swedish black/death metal hybrids Autumn: Death have announced that the band is currently holed up in the studio recording an album, which will be their debut after the Autumn Death EP. All the songs are finished for the album, now it's only a matter of recording all of it. You can follow the album's progress on their Facebook page.

Death Fetishist - Sign Deal With Debemur Morti Productions

The Portland-based duo Death Fetishist, fronted by Matron Thorn, has inked a record deal with Debemur Morti Productions. Said label will be releasing the band's upcoming debut full-length effort, on which the band is already working hard. More details will follow in the near future. Lemmy Kilmister - Official Cause Of Death Revealed

Motörhead's frontman Lemmy Kilmister died from prostate cancer, congestive heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia, according to his death certificate. It was widely reported he battled an aggressive form of cancer before his death, but it has now been confirmed by TMZ that it was prostate cancer.

Myrkur - Getting Death Threats, Limits Facebook Messages

One-woman black metal project Myrkur always seems to generate a lot of discussions, maybe because she is a woman in a predominantly male dominated genre, maybe because she gets a lot of attention. Whatever the cause may be, things has been taken too far now as Myrkur, aka Amalie Bruun, has posted online about getting tired of receiving death threats via Facebook. Bruun doesn't blame the metal community as a whole but points out that those threats and messages are coming mostly from American men and occasionally Eastern European.

California Deathfest 2016 - First Confirmed Bands

The California Deathfest is coming back for its second edition next year. You can mark your calendars for October 14th-16th, 2016. Melvins - To Tour With Napalm Death

Melvins and Napalm Death will join forces for the Savage Imperial Death March Tour that kicks off on March 26th, 2016 at The Marquee in Phoenix, Arizona. According to Melvins' Facebook page, Melt Banana is the band that will open for them on this forthcoming North American trek.

The Slow Death - Recording New Material

Australian death/doom act The Slow Death is working on a new release, shortly after their latest record Ark was released in March 19th 2015. The band lost their vocalist Gregg Williamson one year ago but continued. Their new vocalist is Gamaliel. Now they are recording new songs with rhythm guitars and drums already finished.

Eagles Of Death Metal - Over 100 Dead After Paris Show Terrorist Attack

The venue Le Bataclan in Paris, France, hosts hundreds of shows every year, and many of those are from metal bands. After the tragedy in Romania recently, another one happens. During an Eagles Of Death Metal concert last night, at least 112 people were killed by terrorists who also seized hostages. More than 1,000 people were inside the hall at the time of the rampage but police did bring the hostage situation to a close. This Friday night, several other attacks took place in Paris at different locations. The members of Eagles Of Death Metal survived according to their management. Deftones were also scheduled to perform at Le Bataclan today.

Napalm Death - Announce Split EP With Heaven Shall Burn

Grindcore pioneers Napalm Death and Germany's metal powerhouse Heaven Shall Burn have teamed up for a very special split 7" EP release. Entitled The Mission Creep, this limited vinyl-only split 7" EP will be released on December 11th, 2015 via the bands' longtime label Century Media Records and it will include both an unreleased song by Heaven Shall Burn called "Battle Of Attrition" as well as the unreleased Napalm Death track "An Extract (Strip It Clean)".

Amorphis - Debut 'Death Of A King' Clip

After the recent release of the well-received Under The Red Cloud worldwide, Amorphis have shared a new video today. The chosen song was their single "Death Of A King" taken from the fresh new album. The Finnish metallers will have a busy end of the year with a European tour scheduled for November/December alongisde Nightwish. Before that, in October, the outfit will perform on their home turf in Finland.

Death Angel - To Enter Studio, New Album In 2016

Death Angel will enter the studio on October 9th to begin tracking a new album to follow The Dream Calls For Blood. The Bay Area thrash metal band shows no sign of slowing down and will work once again with Jason Suecof and Rob producing at AudioHammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. The band has been writing new songs in between tours and is now in the final stages of writing.
