Devin Townsend has officially announced the release of the long-awaited new double-album Z2 on the 27th of October 2014 in Europe and 28th of October in the US via Inside Out Music. The Z2 project will also see him play a landmark show at London's legendary Royal Albert Hall on April 13th, 2015. After this album cycle, Devin will take some time off. So, you better make the best of it, lucky animals.

With the title Only Half There and to be published by Rocket 88, a website was created to determine how much interest there is for such a book. Devin Townsend just doesn't stop. With the Casualties Of Cool release on the horizon, Devin is already preparing the next one and that will be Ziltoid 2. The recording for the new album has begun and the Casualties Of Cool pledge (currently at 490% !) is also funding the Ziltoid project. Drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen has confirmed that the drum tracks are done for Ziltoid 2. The theme of the double album is Ziltoid versus the Devin Townsend Project, with both getting their own album.

Some days ago, Devin Townsend announced that he was going to launch a crowdfunding campaign for his album Casualities Of Cool. The day has come: the campaign has begun, and you can pledge in exchange of various bundles here. All pledges include a free download of the album upon the May 14th release date and everyone who pledges will receive regular updates from Devin and Ché Dorval plus exclusive downloads. Once the target is reached, all other proceedings will go straight into the Z2 project, which is due to start soon.
