In June, Thyrfing signed a deal with NoiseArt Records with a promise of a new album. Now the band has revealed that Jens Bogren (Opeth/Paradise Lost/Witchcraft) has put the final touches on their upcoming opus at Fascination Street in Örebro, Sweden. The title of the album will be De Ödeslösa and is set for release this coming spring.

Black metallers Nightbringer will soon release Circumambulations Of The Solar Inferno through Daemon Worship Productions on March 1st, 2013. It is a conceptual split release, based upon the esoteric doctrines of the four quarters of the journey of the "sun" from death, through the underworld, to rebirth and ascendance. Ian Gillan, singer of the legendary hard rockers Deep Purple, spoke exclusively to Classic Rock Magazine, and revealed that the new Deep Purple album, due to be released in April 2013, will feature 13 tracks including "Out Of Hand", "Hell To Pay", "Weirdistan", "Uncommon Man", and "Above And Beyond". The latter song references the band's founding member Jon Lord, who passed away this year, in the lyric: 'Souls having touched are forever entwined.'
