Release date upcoming album & concert impressions

From Lake of Tears website:

The release date for Black Brick Road has been set to August 30.

The gig at the Sweden Rock Festival was a sucess! It was the first gig in seven(!) years and the band was overwhelmed by the great audience (~3000 people). Daniel: "We would like to thank everyone who attended the gig... we had a fantastic time and it was all thanks to you!".
After being called in a second time to play "Headstones" as the encore, the band met up with the fans in front of the stage for a short signing/photo session. Worth mentioning is that it was the first time Magnus Sahlgren played with the band live.

Setlist:
Boogie Bubble
Cosmic Weed
Making Evenings
Crazyman
Hold on Tight
Pagan Wish
The Greymen
Encore:
Headstones

Into Eternity - Tour Impressions From Tim Roth

From the Century Media website:

Into Eternity has just returned from Europe where they performed at Germany's Rock Hard and Italy's Gods Of Metal festivals, in addition to three dates with Sweden's Naglfar. Guitarist Tim Roth kept a tour diary and sent this message to fans worldwide:

Hello Everyone....
Well, we made it back from our tour in Europe. It was a brutal flight to get there and it took at least 20 hours of traveling. Melanie and Century Media picked us up at the airport and took us to a four star hotel. After check in we made it to the Rock Hard Festival to see Exodus, Gamma Ray and others, it was a very cool night.
Our first show: Day two of the Rock Hard Festival. There must have been about 5,000 fans. We played as hard as we could and we won over the crowd. After the show, we did a signing session and after a half hour the fans had to be told it was over. I feel bad for everyone who didn't get something signed, as the fans treated us so well in Germany. Also, the press was extremely cool and has really supported Buried In Oblivion.
After a day off, we started our mini-tour with Sweden's Naglfar, who are extremely cool guys. We all bonded instantly as they share the same sick sense of humor. Our first stop was Hamburg, a small show, but the fans packed in really tight and enjoyed it. It was 120 degrees onstage. We also got to hang out with Mike from Rage, and he was a great guy as well.
Next stop: Berlin. The show was cool and fans showed up to support both bands. I was a bit worried at first, but the crowd was great to us. Our hotel was across from the Berlin Wall, so we got photos of it. The one problem was staying up all night drinking with Rob, Marcus and Andreas from Naglfar. My stomach was sore from laughing all night. The tour manager was surprised to see us up at breakfast. We said we wanted an early start! I don't think he believed us.
Osnabruck was the next gig. It was supposed to be a four-hour drive, but turned into eight because of crazy traffic and construction. The club was nice, though. Small, but everything was all done in marble. The show was really good and Century Media staff came out to watch us. Actually, we even took an encore, even though Naglfar was headlining. After the show we said our good byes. It was sad to see the Naglfar guys go: hopefully we'll tour with them again soon!
We then were off to the airport to catch a flight to Italy, and we ran into Rage again there and talked to them the whole flight. Italy is an amazing country. The weather is perfect and the people are beautiful. Again we stayed in a four-star hotel. The Gods of Metal Festival must host 20,000 + fans. It was Into Eternity's biggest show to date, and the show itself was a lot of fun! The only time I got nervous was when I looked over and saw the guys from Nevermore and Symphony X watching us! After we played we hung out backstage and met all the bands. Our dressing room was by Anathema, Judas Priest, Rage and Symphony X, so it was amazing company. One of the coolest guys there was Jason Bonham. He is a guy who is already well off but he's still out there touring. You've got to respect that. I had a long talk with him and he was a real gentleman. Also hanging out with Nevermore was a real treat, as they put on one hell of a show!

News from Christofer Johnsson

From Therion website:

"We have since some months a new drummer called Petter Karlsson and after rehearsing for a while with him, playing both new and old songs, I must say it sounds really good. (...)
We have also rehearsed with Matts Lev'en and it sounds really cool, prepare for a different Therion sound un the upcoming festivals and tours!

Regarding singers there is also a big change. As you all know Sarah Jezebel Deva have been singing with us live for quite some years. Well unfortunatly she will not be able to go with us this time due to some health problems. We are very sad about this, but have found a replacement called Karin Fjellander who is a young swedish soprano that have a background as a viola player, but who now study classical vocals since some years.

We have made a death metal project in secrecy called "Demonoid" that will be released in July! It is mainly Kristian and Johans project musically, but I contributed with some riffs, sang on it and made the lyrics".

Blaze new album is coming!

When it comes to Blaze Bayley, the sincerity of his music ranks at the very top of his personal maxims, which explains his pride in his most recent studio recording. "Blood And Belief is one-hundred per cent honest and unaffected," he comments on the strengths of his latest offering.

"Every song that was played, every lyric, every vocal line comes straight from the heart. The tracks are heavy but at the same time extremely melodic, in other words: a perfect balance of power and soul." British-born Bayley takes up where his previous three releases, Silicon Messiah (1999), Tenth Dimension (2002) and As Live As It Gets (2003), which impressed his fans with similar directives, left off.

Blood And Belief is contemporary heavy metal full of energy, life-blood and honesty, produced by an artist who has put together his experiences from the last fifteen years into an impressively high-powered achievement. Blaze 2004 is stronger than ever before.

Tracklisting:
01 Alive
02 Ten Seconds
03 Blood And Belief
04 Life And Death
05 Tearing Myself To Pieces
06 Hollow Head
07 Will To Win
08 Regret
09 The Path & The Way
10 Soundtrack Of My Life

Line-up:
Blaze Bayley - vocals
Steve Wray - guitars
John Slater - guitars
Wayne Banks - bass

BLS' Bassist James Lomenzo signs on for Ozzfest

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY will be utilizing the services of bassist James Lomenzo (PRIDE & GLORY, DAVID LEE ROTH, WHITE LION) during their main-stage appearance at this year's Ozzfest, according to BlackLabelSociety.net. Since BLACK SABBATH have been announced as the headliners of this year's festival, OZZY OSBOURNE's solo band ? which features BLACK LABEL SOCIETY frontman Zakk Wylde on guitar ? will no longer be performing at the event.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY will be touring in support of their latest release, "Hangover Music Vol. VI", which was released last month through Spitfire Records. The CD is mostly acoustic- and piano-based, much like Zakk's 1996 solo album "Book Of Shadows". Mike Inez (ALICE IN CHAINS, OZZY OSBOURNE), Lomenzo and J.D. all share bass duties on the album while drummer John Tempesta (ROB ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS) makes a guest appearance on one track.

"Hangover Music Vol. VI" marks BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's final album for Spitfire Records under the terms of the group's present agreement with the label.

Samael - recordings completed

SAMAEL's webmaster has sent out the following update:

"Samaël just finished the recording of their new album!

Three and a half months of hard work in two different studios, four different sound engineers (for electronic, guitars, vocals, and acoustic takes), co-produced by Waldemar Sorychta (who worked on most of the band's efforts in the past), this record is said to be the most complex and the heaviest recording the band ever produced.

Samaël are going to France this weekend to play at La Rotonde Festival and they will then fly straight to Stockholm to mix the album. The mixing duty will be assured by Stephan Glaumann (BON JOVI/RAMMSTEIN).

Some of the new tracks are: 'Oriental Dawn', 'Telepathic', 'As The Sun', 'High Above', 'Heliopolis' and 'Further'.

The album is set to be released on Samaël's own label, Galactical Recordings with exclusive licenses to Musikvertreib for Switzerland and Regain Records for Europe/Asia. An American deal still has to be worked out."
