Soilwork have announced a line-up change. The melodic death metallers, who are about to release a new album called The Ride Majestic, have a new bassist. As of this new album cycle, the band is joined by new bassist Markus Wibom, formerly of Helsingborg hardcore group Hearts Alive. Wibom replaces longtime bassist Ola Flink, who has amicably left the group to focus on other endeavors.

Soulfly just announced that they will embark on a North American headlining tour starting on September 30th in Los Angeles. The band will be supporting their upcoming vicious new release Archangel, which was produced by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) and will be released on August 14th via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Joining them on this epic campaign are Swedish melodic death metal visionaries Soilwork, Polish technical death metallers Decapitated, and newcomers Shattered Sun. No word yet on who will replace bassist Tony Campos.

The Swedes are forced to cancel their gig at this year's Rockharz Open Air (in Ballenstedt, Germany) due to a serious back injury of their singer, Björn "Speed" Strid. This decision was a hard one to make, especially since it is the second time in a row after last year's forced cancellation.
