Sumac - Will Put Out Next Album In June
Northwest-based trio Sumac are unveiling details and first single in connection with their new album announcement. Entitled The Healer, it is set to be released on June 21st, 2024. The 76-minute long music effort was engineered and mixed by Scott Evans. Mastering handled by Matthew Barnhart at Chicago Mastering Service in Chicago, IL.

Sumac have just released the single "Two Beasts" via Sub Pop Records. It was recorded in February 2020 by Nicholas Wilbur at The Unknown, and in March 2020 by A.T. at HoLC. Also mixed and mastered by Kevin Ratterman at Invisible Creature in March 2020. The cover image is by Faith Coloccia.

The band recently began the album recordings and now announced American Dollar Bill - Keep Facing Sideways, You're Too Hideous To Look At Face On which is hitting stores on February 23rd 2018 through Thrill Jockey Records. It appears as if the guys in Sumac are keeping themselves busy by recording a follow-up to their debut The Deal. The album is being recorded at The Unknown studio in Anacortes, Washington, with audio engineering by Kurt Ballou of Converge fame. If you are not familiar with Sumac, you should know that the band consists of Aaron Turner (ex-Isis), Nick Yacyshyn (Baptists) and Brian Cook (Russian Circles). We can probably expect more information about the album in a not so distant future.
