Daylight Dies - Album Update

Daylight Dies have issued the following update regarding the new album:

"We have continued the steady march towards what will eventually become the fourth Daylight Dies album and are planning to begin pre-production in North Carolina in June. This means piecing together all the fragments of material we've exchanged amongst ourselves and refining them into polished demos which will aid in recording the album.

Since we now live in various areas of the country (North Carolina, California and New York), we felt it was especially important to hone the music together prior to the final recording. While a vague personality of the album has begun to take shape, there is still much more to write."

Crypt Of Kerberos - Ink Deal With Pulverised Records

Official press release

Pulverised Records is very excited to have Crypt Of Kerberos on board, one of Sweden's most underrated technical extreme metal band in history.

Previously known as Macrodex and consisting of members from various outfits such as Tyrant, Eternal Darkness, Obscene and the like; Crypt Of Kerberos's infusing style of unorthodox song structures, blazing fretboard mastery and a somewhat maze-like, Sci-Fi vibe reminiscent of the mighty old gods Nocturnus, came into the early Swedish Death Metal scene in 1990 with their nonconformist yet utterly heavy style while the rest of the Swedish bands were emphasizing more on brutality.

Crypt Of Kerberos is slated for a follow-up new album to the 1993's full-length album World Of Myths. More details and information will be announced soon.

States Crypt Of Kerberos axe-slinger Peter Bjärgö: "After many years of absence, we finally made the decision to make a new album. A lot of material has been written throughout the years and we realised that this was more than sufficient for a full length album. The new material is darker and heavier than ever before, so we definitely look forward to start recording this album."

Pulverised Records label manager Roy Yeo comments: "Having known Crypt Of Kerberos since the early days, I was absolutely intrigued by their sense of intellectuality in the songwriting department, and of course not forgetting those jaw-dropping guitar solos that complemented the songs flawlessly. Crypt Of Kerberos is a perfect example of how an excellent band was criminally ignored back in the days and we hope this brand new album would give them the recognition they duly deserve."

Pain Of Salvation - New Album In May, Samples Online

Original news, posted on 25.03.2010

Pain Of Salvation is tentatively scheduled to release its new album, Road Salt - Ivory, in Europe on May 19 via Insideout Music. Frontman Daniel Gildenlöw previously stated: "It is a 12-track album of sweaty grovel, asphalt butterflies, untreaded paths and brave decisions. It will be presented to the world in one standard edition and one limited director's cut, of which we, of course, recommend the latter one. See, as usual, we refuse to add some stuff haphazardly to put together a limited product ? we always see the larger version as the 'real' one; the one that makes us the proudest."

The cover artwork can be viewed here.

UPDATE (thanks to Arkaholic)

Pain Of Salvation has released five preview samples for the upcoming album Road Salt One. Click here to check them out.

Quoted the band: "For those who are curious about the album can listen to the unique preview tracks that have been uploaded to our website - already today, even though the album is not scheduled for release until mid-May!"
