Timo Tolkki's Avalon - Keyboardist Announced, To Begin Recordings

Will Timo Tolkki ever get rid of the Stratovarius inheritance? After Tuomo Lassila, the next ex-Strato member to join Timo Tolkki's Avalon's line-up for the second album is Antti Ikonen. The band's site states: "The original keyboard player of Stratovarius Antti Ikonen has joined the line up of Avalon. He played all keyboards on the classic Stratovarius albums such as Fright Night, Twilight Time, Dreamspace and Fourth Dimension."

Rhapsody Of Fire - Premiere Another New Song

Italian symphonic epic metal masters Rhapsody Of Fire just premiered another song off their upcoming album Dark Wings Of Steel, which will hit the stores on November 22nd in Europe and December 3rd in North America via AFM Records, and will be the first without former guitarist Luca Turilli. The band, which already released for streaming the song "Silver Lake Of Tears", is now giving the fans the chance to enjoy "Rising From Tragic Flames".

Apocalyptica - New Video Online

Cello metal masters Apocalyptica have just released the official video clip for "Fight Against Monsters", the third out of three live clips for their upcoming album Wagner Reloaded - Live In Leipzig. Recorded in Leipzig in July 2013, this is a live collaboration with the MDR Leipzig Symphony Orchestra and will be released on November 19th via BMG.

Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Reveal New Album Title, Trailer Online

So, the wait is over. Italian masters of epic symphonic metal Luca Turilli's Rhapsody just revealed the title for their upcoming album: Prometheus - Symfonia Ignis Divinis, which will be recorded and mixed once again in the Backyard Studios of Sebastian Roeder (Kempten, Germany) and released via Nuclear Blast in 2014. This will be the second album for Luca Turilli's Rhapsody after the split with the original Rhapsody Of Fire. Will the band top the acclaimed Ascending To Infinity?

Civil War - Release Video, European Tour Dates

Swedish power metallers Civil War are presenting their first ever official video clip. The song chosen was "Gettysburg", from their debut album The Killer Angels, and the video was shot during the band's live performances in Sweden and Hungary. The video was directed by Michael Asplund. You can watch it here. The group also announced their first European tour. It is due to take place in February of 2014 and will hit across central Europe.
