Sólstafir - Tease New Album
It appears that Icelandic post-rockers Sólstafir are already finalizing their new album. At the end of last year, they said they were in songwriting mode and about to record the follow-up to Ótta, the first without original drummer Guðmundur Óli Pálmason. Now, they just posted a cryptic image promising that more will be revealed about it soon.

Persefone - New Video Online
Andorran prog metallers Persefone have recently announced the upcoming release of their fifth album, Aathma. Ahead of the album dropping on the 24th of February, the band have released their first song video from Aathma, an animated video for the 7-minute tune "Prison Skin".

Civil War - Kelly Sundown Announced As New Vocalist
Following Nils Patrik Johansson's departure from the band, Civil War were auditioning for a month, before announcing their new vocalist. Kelly "Sundown" Carpenter, known as the vocalist of many bands like Darkology, Adagio, Zierler, Iron Mask and many others, as well as a touring vocalist of Firewind fame, has been announced as the new Civil War vocalist.

Amaranthe - Video Unveiled, Jake E Makes Departure Permanent
Some fans feared Amaranthe male clean singer Jake E would leave permanently after he stated last year he was taking a break from the band. At the time, he didn't specify it but he is indeed quitting the group to pursue other things. The Swedish outfit has also released the new video for the track "Boomerang." Watch it here.

HammerFall - Release Live Clip
After releasing a new album last year, Built To Last, power metallers HammerFall have toured a lot and continue to do so in order to present it live. The band has been touring in Europe and now shares a live video of the tune "Dethrone And Defy" from the Built to Tour 2017. In April/May, they will hit North American stages with Delain.

Dark Angel - Drummer Gives Update On New Album
Dark Angel drummer Gene Hoglan spoke to KNAC.com earlier this week about their long-awaited new album, for which they have written five or six songs. The record will be the band's first since 1991's Time Does Not Heal, and will feature the Leave Scars lineup of Hoglan (drums), Eric Meyer (guitar), Jim Durkin (guitar), Ron Rinehart (vocals) and Michael Gonzalez (bass).

Body Count - Reveal New Album Details And Guests
In case you didn't know yet, Body Count are about to release a new album. Ice-T and company will give us Bloodlust on March 31st via Century Media Records. And there's a ton of guests! Megadeth's Dave Mustaine, Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy) and Lamb Of God's Randy Blythe are all guests on the album.
