Killswitch Engage - Share New Album Cover, Announce Shows

In March, Killswitch Engage will release a new album called Incarnate. The album hits stores on March 11th, 2016 via Roadrunner Records and the pre-orders will be available on January 29th. Amon Amarth - Tease New Release

Amon Amarth have released a video teasing a new release called First Kill, thought to be the name of their new album. The death metallers jokingly satirize Internet "Keyboard Warriors" on the video which also features UFC fighter and noted Amon Amarth fan Josh Barnett. Meanwhile, there is still no official word on their new album, even though we know that the band has been working on it. However, the promotion and teasing has started.

Thin Lizzy - Announce Anniversary Shows, Tap Mikkey Dee

2016 is a year that includes a couple of important anniversaries in the history of the legendary Thin Lizzy. On March 26th, 1976, the band released the iconic Jailbreak album to the world, and it become one of the most important albums of that era. Now we are 40 years on since the release of that milestone and it is time to celebrate it. 2016 also sees 30 years since Phil Lynott passed away (January 4th, 1986) and the world lost a rock legend. But his legacy lives on and celebrating that legacy is what is in store. In the summer of 2016 going into 2017, Thin Lizzy will stage a handful of special shows to commemorate these important milestones.

Cobalt - Reveal New Album Cover And First Details

The highly anticipated new album from black metallers Cobalt is coming out this March via Profound Lore Records and the first details have just been revealed. For now, we already know that the new album will be titled Slow Forever and it's a double album with vocals from Charlie Fell (ex-Lord Mantis, Nachtmystium, Abigail Williams). The cover art, done by Jimmy Hubbard, is a combination of photography, sketches, ink blots, and a little bit of digital manipulation. Feast your eyes on it below.

Finally some news regarding symphonic gothic metallers Theatres Des Vampires. The band has been very quiet in recent years. In fact, their last album Moonlight Waltz came out in 2011. However, they have been working on a new album recently to follow that. The band is currently in the studio, working on their 10th studio album, set to be released in 2016. Dunsmuir - New Band Feat. Neil Fallon, Vinny Appice And More

There is a new band you might want to know about. It's called Dunsmuir and features Clutch's vocalist Neil Fallon, bassist Brad Davis (Fu Manchu), drummer Vinny Appice (Dio and Black Sabbath) and Dave Bone (The Company Band). It seems like the project has been in motion since at least July 2015. There is no music available so far but the band launched a Facebook page and you can probably expect to know more about their plans soon but there is something brewing.

Pain Of Salvation - In The Studio, Update

The Swedes Pain Of Salvation are hard at work forging their new album. These are exciting times for the progressive band as they are holed up in the studio recording "heavy" and "complex" new songs. They are at Dugout Studios working with producer Daniel Bergstrand. Also, mainman and the only original member still in the group, Daniel Gildenlöw, also revealed that they are aiming for two releases this year.

Babymetal - Reveal New Album Title

Babymetal's second album already has a title set. The follow-up to Babymetal will be called Metal Resistance. The record will be released on Friday, April 1st, 2016 via RAL/Sony Music Entertainment in the U.S. and earMUSIC in Europe. The Japanese crew will also return to the U.S. in May for a few shows. More will be revealed soon.

Avenged Sevenfold - Try To Get Out Of Warner Bros. Contract, Sued

We might have the first drama of the year on our hands, or at least the first legal battles taking place. According to Billboard, Avenged Sevenfold are trying to get out of their current recording contract. In turn, the label has filed a breach-of-contract suit against the band, seeking compensatory damages. While the band plans to enter the studio soon, they might also have to go to court.
