Vader - To Start Recording New Album

"Impressions In Red" - Vader's new album!

On the 22th of April Vader will start recording session of their new studio album entitled "Impressions In Red". The album will be recorded, mixed and mastered at Hertz Studio with brothers S³awek & Wojtek Wies³awscy at the helm (who produced band's latest MCD "The Art Of War").

The recording session will run through May, 25th. The new album, unlike the futuristic content of "The Art Of War" MCD will be entirely focused around dark and mystical vision of hell on earth, inspired by works of medieval visionaries like Hieronymous Bosh. In July the band is going to shot a videoclip based on that theme as well. "Impressions In Red" artwork and the whole layout have been prepared by Greek maestro Seth (Paradise Lost, Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh...).

Release date is scheduled for September, 4th through Regain Records. The album will be supported with a massive promotional campaign. On 17th of September Vader will kick off the next 90 dates long tournee, playing in all European countries, Great Britain, Scandinavia, Baltic countries and the Balkans. In 2007 Vader will appear on tours in North and South America, Asia (Japan, Indonesia...), Eastern Europe and some other countries. More info about band's plans on Vader and Massive Music websites.

Mekong Delta - Update On The New Album

As reported on Mekong Delta website the work on their upcoming album is progressing nicely.

5 of the 8 group songs are completely finished musically. The other 3 are a little more difficult to complete because of special rhythms used. Ralf and Peter concluded they would first finish the 8 group songs (and maybe even record them first) before working on the classical adaptation and the 2 orchestral ones. They have not been together yet because of the great progess on the drums. The three members will probably meet each other in Norway (where Uli lives nowadays) for rehearsals soon.

Dååth - Sign With Roadrunner Records

Roadrunner Records announced the signing of death metal band Daath.

DAATH (pronounced like "Goth," but with a "D") were signed by longtime Roadrunner A&R man Monte Conner. Says Conner: "DAATH fuses elements of cutting-edge death and black metal with expansive orchestral and electronic themes. I haven't signed a death metal band since the early 90's, when that whole scene reached a serious saturation and then stagnation point. But I never stopped following that genre and when DAATH came along, I finally heard a new band who injected originality, excitement and fresh ideas back into that style of music."

DAATH, featuring Sean Farber (vocals), Michael Kameron (synth, backing vocals), Eyal Levi (guitar), Emil Werstler (guitar), Jeremy Creamer (bass), and Matt Ellis (drums), were brought to Conner's attention via colleague and friend, former Disincarnate/Obituary/Death/Testament guitarist-turned-producer, James Murphy, who took the band into the studio last year to co-produce and mix ten songs.

Levi commented: "Since the beginning we've believed that Roadrunner was the most appropriate label for DAATH. They are the torch bearers for the metal world and we are proud to be joining their family."

DAATH will re-enter the studio with Murphy in May to record five more songs to round out the pool of tracks they will chose from to unleash as their forthcoming Roadrunner debut album, "The Hinderers" - due out this Fall. Besides the title track, some other songs set to appear include "Festival Mass Soulform,"Ovum," "Above Lucium" and "Who Will Take The Blame." Murphy makes a guest appearance on the album as well as former Chimaira/Dying Fetus drummer, Kevin Talley, who tracked drums on two songs.

Ilium - Update On New Album & Other News

Hello everyone

Well, we've finished recording our third album "Vespertilion" and we'll be making
the trek to Wollongong in a couple of weeks to look at mixing with Tim. I can
honestly say it sounds amazing - the drums are spectacular!

We'd still like to do a few shows if anyone out there wants to do some live bass or
keyboard work. Still working on that film clip for "Chloroform Divinity" but Lord Tim has
been busy with the swansong album for Dungeon as well as getting ready for the first
ever Lord gig - should be awesome!

- - - - - - - -

I've just been speaking to our ex-bass player Peter and it seems Corey (his son,
ex-keyboardist) has again gotten through to the next round of Australian Idol. This
time things are looking very promising and there seems to be alot of interest in his
material. We wish him all the best of luck.

As you may remember, Corey was hit by a train a little while back and lost his foot.
He is doing really well and wants to thank everyone who has supported him through a
very difficult time.

Unleashed - In The Studio

Johnny Hedlund (bass & vocals) posted the following message on Unleashed's offcial website:

"Unleashed are currently in the studio, completing the preproduction of our 8th full length album. We have more qualified songs to choose from than ever before, and I am very confident that this will be the best Unleashed album ever.

Our mission is to create one of the most memorable records in the history of Death Metal!!!

This one will be slightly faster than Sworn Allegiance. The songs will be anthems in the true traditional Unleashed way and will have you screaming along with the choruses.

The guitar sound will be taking a step towards brutality and grind. The drums are the closest we have ever come, to recording a "live" kind of intensity. The vocals?... well, not far away from Sworn Allegiance... Just add a little harshness and a slightly deep aggression to that sound and you'll get the picture right there.

Expect nothing but one of the most memorable records in the history of Death Metal."
