Ashes Of Ares, a Matt Barlow project, just lost their drumming force. The group posted that they parted ways with drummer Van Williams of Nevermore fame. So far, the group has only released their self-titled debut album back in 2013 but the other two remaining members are working on its follow-up.

Tony Särkkä - Passes Away

The Swedish musician Tony Särkkä, aka "IT", who played in many bands, including Ophthalamia, Abruptum and War, has died. He also did guest vocals for both Marduk and Dissection in the 90's.

Heidevolk - To Play At Zobens Un Lemess 2017

The Dillinger Escape Plan - 13 Hospitalized After Band's Bus Crash

Thirteen people have been injured after a lorry crashed into a tour bus carrying the American band The Dillinger Escape Plan. The metallers were travelling to a concert in Krakow, Poland when the incident occurred. Aneta Wlazlowska, a spokeswoman for Radomsko police, said the band members were not seriously hurt but were taken to hospital for further tests. Hopefully, all the injured will make a full recovery.

Blaze Bayley - Share New Video And New Single

Blaze Bayley releases a new single, the title track from his forthcoming album, Endure And Survive. The new record was recorded in home-city Birmingham, England, at Robannas Studios, and is the second in the Infinite Entanglement trilogy of album releases which follows a sci-fi concept and storyline. The single, like most of the album, is a writing collaboration between Blaze and lead guitarist Chris Appleton from British metal band Absolva. Hear it below and judge it for yourself.

It appears that Icelandic post-rockers Sólstafir are already finalizing their new album. At the end of last year, they said they were in songwriting mode and about to record the follow-up to Ótta, the first without original drummer Guðmundur Óli Pálmason.
