W.A.S.P. - UK And Scandinavian Tour Announced

American wild child W.A.S.P. will hit the road again, this time in Scandinavia, UK and Ireland. 2017 marks 25 years from the original release of the acclaimed album, The Crimson Idol, by W.A.S.P.. Recognized as the band's landmark recording, the band will commemorate the release of that historic album by performing it in its entirety on the "Re-Idolized: The 25th Anniversary of the Crimson Idol" World Tour.

Verge - Announce New Label And New Album

Finnish black metal outfit Verge just signed a deal with I, Voidhanger Records. Featuring musicians that play or have played with other underground acts like Charnel Winds, Saturnian Mist and Funerary Bell, Verge have already released a couple of full-length albums. Their third release is titled The Process of Self-Becoming and will be out on I, Voidhanger Records this spring. Stay tuned for more details.

Uriah Heep - Bassist/Vocalist John Wetton Dies

Sad news to report. The short lived Uriah Heep and King Crimson bassist/vocalist John Wetton, who was more known for his work with proggers Asia has passed away aged 67, following a battle with cancer, according to his bandmates.

Peruvian black metal maniacs Black Angel have lost their guitarist Giomar Death. According to band member and bassist Hector Corpus, Giomar Death passed away on January 30th in the morning, victim of stroke.

Bruce Dickinson - Sarajevo Documentary Trailer Online

The official trailer for "Scream For Me Sarajevo", a documentary telling the story of a 1994 concert given by Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson during the siege, can be seen below. "Scream For Me Sarajevo" received its world premiere at the at 22nd edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival, which was held last August in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the film picked up the Special Jury Award, the Human Rights Award and the Audience Award. The documentary is expected to receive a commercial release before the end of 2017.

Jenner - To Release Debut Album

Serbian metal band Jenner will release its debut album, To Live Is To Suffer, on February 20th via Infernö Records. Formed in December 2013, Jenner is said to be the only all-girl metal band from the Belgrade area. The track "How Deep Is Your Greed" can be streamed below. Also available is a new album teaser.

Inquisition - Problems Entering Canada, Cancel Appearances

Colombians at heart, Inquisition later relocated to the U.S. and are currently touring in support of Mayhem in North America. Unfortunately, they had to cancel the Canadian shows in Montreal and Toronto due to an Immigration issue. Sadly, the Canadian fans will not be able to see Inquisition perform.

Steve Grimmett - Has Leg Amputated

Vocalist Steve Grimmett, of Grim Reaper and Steve Grimmett's Grim Reaper, had part of his right leg amputated after an aggressive infection spread from his toes to his knee. The terrible news was shared by his wife, who has been updating on his condition. The singer had been at an increased risk of infection in his limb since was he taken ill at Saturday night's (January 14th) concert in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
