Avatarium - New Album And Tour Announced

Avatarium just announced that they will celebrate the release of their yet untitled new album with a tour in November. The doom metallers will release the follow-up to the lauded Avatarium (2013) this year and also embark on a European headline tour in fall 2015 with The Vintage Caravan and Spiders opening for them. Be prepared because Avatarium are bringing more doom in October!

AC/DC - Announce New Zealand Shows, Phil Rudd Not Playing

AC/DC have announced two New Zealand tour dates but Tauranga-based drummer Phil Rudd will not be playing with the band. Tour manager Garry Van Egmond confirmed Rudd would not be playing in any of the New Zealand concerts. Drummer Chris Slade will be behind the kit.

Chaos Magic - Debut First Song And Video

Frontiers Music Srl will release Chaos Magic's self-titled debut album on July 3rd in Europe and July 10th in North America. Chaos Magic is the new alliance between Finnish songwriter/producer Timo Tolkki and Chilean singer Caterina Nix. Nix previously collaborated with Timo on the second chapter of the Timo Tolkki's Avalon's rock opera Angels Of The Apocalypse. British Lion - To Hit The Road This Summer

Steve Harris will take his solo/side project British Lion back out on the road with a 22-date U.K. tour starting on July 29th in Harlow and rounding off with a London show on August 26th. Support on the trek will come from The Raven Age, the band led by Steve's son George Harris. It's a family affair.

Death metal maniacs Krisiun just finished the recording of their new album, Forged In Fury, which is set to be released worldwide via Century Media Records on August 7th, 2015, it has been confirmed. Featuring cover artwork by renowned artist Joe Petagno (Motörhead, Marduk, Vader, etc.), Forged In Fury was produced by Erik Rutan and comes four years after their latest offering The Great Execution. English doom sludgers Grimpen Mire have shocking news to share. They have informed that the band's bassist/vocalist Paul van Linden has died. The trio is now reduced to drummer Ian Davis and guitarist/vocalist Jim Goad. The members didn't divulge any details regarding his death.

Kontra - Introduce New Line-Up

Kontra had announced their reunion this past March. Since then, they have gone on to make another announcement of their new line-up. Next to the only original member Marco Barraco, singer and rhythm guitarist, now they add to the fold: Luigi Di Meglio on lead guitar, Luca Buonanno on bass guitar and Francesco Verrazzo on drums (former drummer of Manach Seherath). The thrash band is currently rearranging all the old songs and has a surprise in store for the fans in the next few months.
