Thy Wicked - Recording New EP

German pagan black metallers Thy Wicked are currently recording a new EP. As they celebrate their 15th anniversary this year, the band is working on a fresh EP and the first recordings are already underway. The band's previous album Hoffnung Und Zuversicht was released back in 2012.

Pentagram - New Album Recording Underway, New Drummer

Good news from Pentagram today. Peaceville Records just announced the re-signing of US doom metal legends Pentagram for their forthcoming studio album, set to be released in the summer of 2015. The influential American band also announced a line-up change. Sean Saley has decided to step down from the drum throne. "Minnesota" Pete Campbell will step in to complete recording and touring duties throughout 2015. Campbell is best known for his drumming with Victor Griffin's In-Graved, Place Of Skulls and stoners Sixty Watt Shaman.

Officium Triste - 'Reason' Album To Be Reissued

Vic Records and death doom metallers Officium Triste have announced today their cooperation to bring back to life the 2004 album Reason. Originally released by the now defunct Displeased Records Reason, the album is considered by many to be the highlight of Officium Triste's output. The album has been out of print for a while now and will be reissued as a digipack with additional liner notes. Stay tuned for the exact release date.

Jørn Lande And Trond Holter - New Lyric Video Online

Singer Jørn Lande and guitarist Trond Holter (Jorn) have created a new rock opera concept album about the life of Count Vlad the III, Prince of Wallachia, widely known as Vlad. They have released the album Dracula: Swing Of Death on January 23rd in Europe and January 27th in North America through Frontiers Music Srl. Today, there is another song to be heard, "Queen Of The Dead," which is available in the lyric video below.

Swedish masters Katatonia have announced a new concert film called Sanctitude, to be released on the 30th of March in the UK and rest of the world, 31st of March in the USA and Canada, and 3rd of April in Germany via Kscope. Van Halen - Live Album And Remasters Coming

Van Halen will release what the band is calling its "definitive live album" on March 31st, the same date they're scheduled to begin a six-album remaster series with reissues of Van Halen and 1984. It's the first-ever live album to feature original singer David Lee Roth.
