Saxon - Live Drummer Announced, Glockler Leaving Hospital

Saxon's drummer Nigel Glockler has had a rough time. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent an operation to address a brain aneurysm. A second procedure took place after the first was unsuccessful. The good news is that he will be released from the hospital tomorrow and is much better. Also, the heavy metallers hired Sven Dirkschneider, who is the son of Udo Dirkschneider (Accept, U.D.O.), as their new live drummer until Nigel Glockler recovers fully.

Blaze Bayley - Working On New Album

British heavy metal vocalist Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden, Wolfsbane) has collaborated with guitarist Michelle Sciarrotta on a new Christmas song titled "It's A Long Way Home This Christmas". The track is available on Bandcamp and you can also hear the track below. By purchasing the recording, you are directly supporting the creation of Blaze's new album, due for release in February 2016.

Wind Rose - New Album On The Way, Tour Announced

Italian power metallers Wind Rose will release their new and second album Wardens Of The West Wind on February 3rd through Scarlet Records (see the album preview on the YouTube player below). Armageddon - Vocalist Leaves, Seeking Replacement

Armageddon have some unfortunate news. Due to personal reasons, their singer Matt Hallquist has been forced to step down from the role as lead vocalist. The Swedish metallers thank Matt for his time and commitment to the band. This means they are once again searching for a singer. Armageddon are looking for a growler/screamer with great stage presence to tour with them starting next year.

AC/DC - Bon Scott Documentary And Biopic In The Works

According to Billboard.com, late AC/DC singer Bon Scott will be the subject of a new documentary due sometime in 2015, titled Looking For Bon, which will explore Scott's life from 1970 to 1974. Narrated by David O'Hara ("The Tudors", "The Departed"), the film will be followed by a Bon Scott biopic, based on a script written by late Australian music pioneer Vince Lovegrove (who shared vocals with Scott in The Valentines in the '60s) and Angela Anagnostopoulos, focusing on Bon's years in AC/DC.
