Moi Dix Mois - Guitarist K Passes Away Suddenly

Very sad news arrive from Japanese group Moi Dix Mois. The band announced on their website that guitarist/vocalist K has died suddenly. They have therefore cancelled their upcoming concert on May 24th at duo MUSIC EXCHANGE in Shibuya. Right now there's no detailed information on his death. So far, all that is known is that K's family has informed the band members about his death and he was found dead at home. The band's guitarist and leader Mana commented on his blog: "This is so sudden and shocking, I can't find words for it."

Poema Arcanus - Announce New Bassist

Chile doom metal band Poema Arcanus has announced a line-up change and see the return of a familiar face to the band. Bassist Juan Pablo "Hueso" Vallejos is returning. After releasing Transient Chronicles last year, the band has been touring and guitarist Igor Leiva Benavides confirmed in an interview earlier this year that Poema Arcanus would begin writing new material probably this year.

Bobby Jarzombek - Drummer Suffering From Cellulitis

American drummer Robert "Bobby" Jarzombek (Fates Warning, Spastic Ink, Sebastian Bach, Halford and many others) was diagnosed with cellulitis (skin infection) and is currently in the hospital. His most recent tour was with Fates Warning when the band performed in Europe in April.

Scorpions - Drummer Arrested For Insulting Islam In Dubai

According to reports from The National, the drummer James Kottak of the German band Scorpions could spend a month in jail after he was convicted on Tuesday morning of insulting Islam, flashing his middle finger at Muslim passengers at an airport and consuming alcohol. Kottak admits he had been drinking but denies the insults. The band already released a statement about the matter as well.

Firefest - Ends With Stabbings, Shots Fired And Arrests

Things did not go well on the Firefest 2014, a two-day hardcore and metal festival, in Lakewood, Ohio. Four people were stabbed and 23 people were arrested in connection with a fight that took place on the second night (April 19th) outside The Foundry concert hall where the fest was being held, according to reports. Ringworm were supposed to play but they announced on their Facebook page that the show was cancelled.

Crimson Glory - Guitarist Arrested On Drug Charges

According to the web site of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, Crimson Glory's guitarist Jon Drenning was arrested on April 8th in Sarasota, Florida on charges of conspiracy to purchase cocaine and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. He was released the following day after posting $10,000 bail on each charge. The guitarist Jon Drenning will now be arraigned on May 9th.
