Whiplash - New Song Streaming Online

Veteran thrashers Whiplash have released a new song from their upcoming EP titled Old School American Way, Volume 1. The single "Sword Meet Skull, Skull Meet Sword" was produced by their mainman Tony Portaro at his Concrete Island Studio. All the drums were recorded and engineered by Kostadin "Mozart" Kamcev at Studio Mozart in Clifton, New Jersey. The single was mixed and mastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris at Planet Z Recording. Crystal Tears - New Album On The Way

The upcoming third album of Greek power metallers Crystal Tears finally has a name, it will be called Hellmade. The follow-up to Generation X is scheduled to be released in December, 2013 via Massacre Records. According to the label, the album sounds brutal and melodic at the same time. The cover artwork was done by Siege Ind that has already worked with bands like Scar Symmetry, Suicide Silence or Bleed From Within. You can see the cover below.

Witherscape - Debut Album Tracklist And Cover Released

Witherscape, the new progressive metal outfit formed by Swedish singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer extraordinaire Dan Swanö together with fellow Swedish multi-instrumentalist Ragnar Widerberg, will be releasing their debut concept album The Inheritance on July 29th, 2013 in Europe and August 6th, 2013 in North America via Century Media Records. After recently premiering the first song from the album, it is now time to reveal the artwork (done by Travis Smith) and tracklist details for The Inheritance. You can check them out below.

Firewind - Live Track Available For Streaming

Hard rockers Tesla released their last studio album Forever More back in 2008 but the band is now recording a brand new original song called "Taste My Pain". You can expect to hear it this summer although no further details are known at this point.

Behemoth - Drop Off Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival

Polish death metallers Behemoth, which were one of the main attractions of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, have been forced to cancel their upcoming appearance in North America due to their drummer Inferno taking ill and requiring an appendix surgery.

Scorpions - In The Studio

Scorpions have returned to the studio. It seems like they abandoned their retirement plans as the band announced last year that they were working on unfinished songs from the early 80s, leftovers from the Blackout album and Love At First Sting. The quintet has worked on a dozen tracks with producers Mikael "Nord" Andersson for an album that is tentatively scheduled for release later this year.

Gorguts - New Album Title And Release Date Revealed

Canadian technical death metallers Gorguts have announced that they will release their fifth album to be titled Colored Sands on August 30th in Europe and September 3rd in North America via Season Of Mist. This is the long-awaited follow-up to From Wisdom To Hate released back in 2001 after which the band went on a hiatus.

Swedish melodic death metallers Amon Amarth have released part two of their mini-documentary Forging Mjölnir which has three parts in total. The mini-documentary was filmed and directed by Luke Daley and celebrates the upcoming release of their ninth studio offering Deceiver Of The Gods. German heavy metal legends Accept are very busy this year headlining European festivals, preparing a new album as well as working on their first live DVD and CD but why stop there? Bleeding Through - Former Bassist Mick Morris Dies

According to Alternative Press, the former bassist of metalcore act Eighteen Visions and Bleeding Through, Mick "MickDeth" Morris, died on June 2nd from a pre-existing heart condition, after being in and out of the hospital recently. He was only 35.

Acheron - New Album Update

It has been four years since the last Acheron album and the band has finally returned to record a new opus. Acheron have entered Bad Back Studio in Cleveland, Ohio and began working with engineer David Johnson. The upcoming album will be entitled Kult Des Hasses and will be released in November on Listenable Records, their new label.
