Fierce Allegiance - New Video Online

Washington DC band Fierce Allegiance premiers their music video music video "No Way Out" directed by Kenny Kelley (Darkest Hour, Vans Warped Tour, Adrenaline Crew) on MySpace Music.

The video combines performance footage and extreme motorcycle stunts by internationally renowned stunt team Adrenaline Crew. Motorcycle stunts "wheelies," "chainsaws," and "endos" are presented in a live performance setting. The video was dangerous, due to near miss collisions with the band. Vocalist Ben Allegiance comments: "we were amazed how close the motorcycles were during our performance. Instead of doing the typical angry metal video, we opted for an 80's classic metal vibe in the style of Judas Priest and Motörhead."

The video is from their self released album "The Meaning Of Sacrifice," produced, mixed, and mastered by Kris Norris, former lead guitarist of Darkest Hour. Fierce Allegiance will be touring the U.S. this summer in support of their new album with Vital Remains and Fuck The Facts.

Vader - Headlining N. American Monsters Of Death Tour

Polish deathsters Vader will team up with California's Decrepit Birth, L.A.'s Warbringer, The Amenta from Australia, Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky from Florida, and Montreal, Canada's Augury for a 38-show "Decibel Presents: Monsters Of Death Tour" through North America beginning November 4th in Baltimore, Maryland.

Vader guitarist/vocalist Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek shares his thoughts on the upcoming trek: "Metal always was and still needs to be a brotherhood. All we were doing to support the music and the scene was cooperating with other bands. Natural seIection decides if a band is really dedicated or if it's just an episode. Not much has changed today, actually.
Even if the so-called "metal music business" changed some rules, there will still be those who play with passion and those who want success. It is not us who wanna be "a judge," so we always try to tour with bands we have a good relationship with. A good time and a friendly atmosphere is important for all of us. I only hope that everybody will enjoy the tour and will come away with good lessons from it... like we in Vader always do.
Deciding on a set list is always a problem. With every new album, the problem grows bigger and bigger. I decide the set list and I'm always confused. Usually, I try to mix some of old Vader hits with new stuff. The set might be different and depends on the conditions. For the upcoming tour through the USA and Canada, we're gonna make the set slightly different from our shows in Poland and Western Europe. I also asked our fans about their favorite Vader songs. It may help me make a choice. I wish we could play all of our new songs, but it is not possible. I think we'll do 5 pieces from "Necropolis" and mix them in with some old Vader. The veterans and also the new "in-Vaders" will find something interesting for sure! After the maniacs learn the new album better, we can always add more songs."

Monsters Of Death Tour dates:

11/04/09 Sonar - Baltimore, MD
11/05/09 The Palladium - Worcester, MA
11/06/09 Webster Underground - Hartford, CT
11/07/09 The Blender Theater @ Gramercy - New York, NY
11/08/09 Fou Founes Electriques - Montreal, QC - CANADA
11/09/09 Imperial de Quebec - Quebec City, QC - CANADA

Arch Enemy - Re-Records Album Later This Year

The big news in the Arch Enemy camp is that Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Testament, Exodus, etc.) has completed the mixing and mastering of the new Arch Enemy record, "The Root Of All Evil". This special release features a seIection of completely re-recorded songs from the first three Arch Enemy albums, "Black Earth", "Stigmata" and "Burning Bridges", and will be released via Century Media Records on September 28th in Europe and October 6th in North America.

Guitarist Michael Amott comments: "This one took some time to get done, despite the fact that the actual songs were already written a good few years ago! The album was recorded at a few different locations locally here in Sweden - produced by Arch Enemy, with Daniel Erlandsson (drums) handling a lot of the engineering. It was then sent to Andy Sneap in England for the mixing/mastering and I simply can't stop listening to this since I got the final mixes!"

In the light of Arch Enemy finding their defining line-up and a bigger worldwide recognition with 2002's "Wages Of Sin" album, it has been a logical decision to look into updating and upgrading the earlier compositions, to be able to present them in the splendour of a 2009 shape.

Regarding further details of the process, Michael Amott adds: "We basically headed down to our rehearsal studio, got reacquainted with the tunes, picked out our favorites and proceeded to give a breath of new life to those early songs, with the idea to have the possibility to re-add them to the live set and follow up with some touring activity! I'm loving hearing these songs with a fresh new sound and performance, everyone in the band did a killer job on it - especially Angela's vocal performance is astoundingly intense and brutal and it was also cool to hear Sharlee lay down some great bass tracks on the early songs! The production and mix is crushing and heavy as hell - it really makes these old songs shine - it sounds like a brand new thing!".

More details on "The Root Of All Evil" will be available in the coming weeks.

Danko Jones - Sign USA/Australian Deal

"Never Too Loud" - Danko Jones latest album - will finally be released in the US on September 8'th! It will come out on Bad Taste, with distribution through Caroline/EMI, so it will be available in all good record stores across the country and of course through all good digital retailers as well. More details on this will be announced shortly along with pre-order links etc etc.

Shortly before the US release, on August 24'th, Riot Entertainment will also be releasing the record in Australia! Very excited about all this and hopefully we will have tour dates in place in both these territories in a not too distant future.

The Riot Entertainment press release reads as follows: Danko Jones will release their fourth full-length album, "Never Too Loud" in Australia via Riot Entertainment on August 24.

After five years of gigging their guts out on five continents and 30 countries, the Toronto hard rock trio called a time out at the end of 2006. Securing the highly coveted services of ace Grammy-winning rock producer Nick Raskulinecz, (Rush, Foo Fighters, Coheed & Cambria, Stone Sour, Velvet Revolver) spurred the band into a feverish and fruitful writing period, prior to setting up shop with Nick in Los Angeles.

Danko Jones have never sounded better on disc than here. The fire and energy that has made them live favourites around the globe is captured intact here, while subtle production touches reveal themselves when you crank this up high. From the kick in the guts opening rock salvo of "Code Of The Road" (the first single) to the super-charged anthemic title track closer, Never Too Loud takes you on a joyride you just don't want to
stop.

Danko Jones' career now spans four full-length albums (2002's Born A Lion, 2003's We Sweat Blood, and 2005's Sleep Is The Enemy, 2009's Never Too Loud), numerous EPs, collections, and compilation cuts (1996-1999), and multiple Juno Award nominations (Canada's version of the Grammy).

The charismatic Danko prowls world stages like a panther in heat. Exuding soul, sweat, and sex appeal, this riveting performer comes across as a dream hybrid of Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Phil Lynott, Sam Cooke and Gene Simmons (that tongue!).He and his two comrades have the right attitude too. "You're only as good as your last show. There is that constant need to impress every single time we go out there. I believe we're yet to play our best show."

Evile - Album Details Revealed

British thrash metallers Evile are ready to reveal to the world their brand new album, "Infected Nations", which is due to be released on September 21st in Europe and on September 22nd in the USA.

Following Evile's 2007 debut, "Enter The Grave" - an homage to the thrash of past - the band are now hitting out and marking a new milestone of their own with "Infected Nations".

Evile frontman Matt Drake comments on "Infected Nations":

"We can't wait for everyone to hear our new album, when we did Enter the Grave two years ago it was made up of songs we had been playing for a few years and some written in the excitement of actually getting to record an album, we were happy to just be making noise but since then we've learnt a few things and we're more interested in making music. Evile fans can expect to hear a more mature offering, an album that concentrates on all aspects of what each member can do; it's a heck of a lot more focused, more satisfying and we're really proud of what we've achieved with it. Russ Russell has helped us to push ourselves to the next level and pull us out of the '80s. The whole retro thing has been cool but we feel it's time for us to leave that behind and stand up for ourselves and show people what we can really
do, but fear not, it IS a thrash metal album, it is a 2009 thrash metal album, and we're dying to blow your minds with it."

"Infected Nations" was produced by Russ Russel (Napalm Death), with the cover art created by Michael Whelan, famous for his sci-fi artworks along with classic album covers from such bands as Sepultura and Obituary. Check out the incredible cover art for "Infected Nations" at this location.

Evile lead guitarist Ol Drake comments on getting Whelan involved:

"When we were thinking about artists we could approach for the album's art, we went through many ideas and avenues. One day I was listening to "Beneath the Remains" by Sepultura, and whilst looking at the artwork, I thought how much that simple yet detailed art really compliments the music. I thought "How good would it be to get Michael Whelan to do an original piece?". I think Matt said something like "Haha yeah, like that'll happen", so as you do, I contacted his manager and got in touch with him. It turned out he was really interested in the concept of the art and jumped right on board. I think an album's art is just as important as the music on the disc, so I couldn't be happier with it. Can't wait to see it on vinyl (with a backpatch maybe?).

Royal Hunt - Bassist Leaves The Band

Bassist Per Schelander has announced he'll be parting ways with Royal Hunt.

Here's his official statement: "After 4 rollercoaster years of music, laughter and good memories I have to leave Royal Hunt - the reason is that I simply can't (due to my obligations in Pain Of Salvation) give RH the time and effort the band deserves. It's been lovely to play with you guys - André, Marcus, Allan, Mark and Maria! It also feels good to pass the torch to such a great player as Andreas Passmark, who will fit the band perfectly. My warmest thanks go to all the fans I met during these last 4 years - you really made me feel welcome when I was the new guy and loved while I was on board!"

Royal Hunt commented: "We'd like to thank Per for 4 wonderful years with us - his dedication, remarkable musical abilities and easy-going personality has been a great asset to us all. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours, all the success which he so rightfully deserves and - while saying goodbye to a talented bass player - looking forward to continuation of a great friendship.

We'd also like to introduce our new friend, an extremely gifted bass player Andreas Passmark (Narnia, Rob Rock, E-Type). Pictures, mp3´s and other details in the "Studio Diary" section."

Black Sheep Records is a label focused on quality extreme music, specifically in the Seattle, WA area. "Anodyne", Vulgarizer's full-length debut on Black Sheep Records is a
compilation of new material as well as rerecordings of the best of their early material. Each track on "Anodyne" will pummel listeners, and will redefine brutality for even the most jaded of metal heads. In short, Vulgarizer is not for the weak. Megadeth - First New Album Details

Heavy metal institution Megadeth have announced "Endgame" as the title of their twelfth studio album. The album is expected to be released in September through Roadrunner Records. It was recorded at the band's self-built brand new studio, Vic's Garage, located near San Diego and named after the legendary and iconic Vic Rattlehead character.

"Endgame" is being produced by Andy Sneap and Dave Mustaine, who also manned the boards for 2007's "United Abominations". Some track titles include "Headcrusher," "1,320'," "How the Story Ends" and "This Day We Fight!"

"Endgame" boasts the technicality, ferocity and snarl that's synonymous with Megadeth and their leader, Dave Mustaine. It's a violent masterwork that represents Mustaine's best work in nearly two decades. In a musical world dominated by bands that make generic blanket statements, "Endgame" finds Mustaine, once again, making informed and substantial lyrical declarations about the state of the world we live in.

Mustaine himself commented on "Endgame", saying, "Thematically, I've never been known to be a silent bystander in a world that needs our participation. As more is revealed about our former President's legacy, a little-known yet staggeringly frightening document, which was signed into law, named "Endgame", has been uncovered. The album "Endgame" is the most energetic music offering I have penned in over a decade and is far more believable than knowing someone signed "Endgame" - the document - into law. The album is also the perfect 'ass- kicking' music to listen to once you are done reading the aforementioned document!"

In short, it's the Megadeth record fans of classics like "So Far?So Good?So What?" and "Rust in Peace" have been chomping at the bit for.

"This new album is my proudest moment since the famous (or infamous) "Rust in Peace" album," Mustaine also said. "With this album I am also very excited to be introducing my new lead guitarist Chris Broderick to the world. I have always felt lucky to have had top shredders in that position but after touring with Chris in support of my last album, I couldn't wait to get into the studio and see what he could do."

Les Discrets - Recording Debut Album

Les Discrets, the project of Fursy Teyssier (Amesoeurs, Phest) and Winterhalter (Amesoeurs, Peste Noire), are currently residing at Drudenhaus studio, France, to record his debut album.

Fursy ceommented: "We finished the recording by the end of last week, and the album sounds reeeallly reallly good. Definitely something to look forward to for you! The album gathers songs that were composed spanning the last years, starting from 2003 to February 2009. This is a collection of the best songs I composed so far!

Les Discrets turned into a more "doom / progressive" metal music, with big guitar riffing, huge sound, blast beats but there is still a lot of acoustic stuff, folk and mystical atmospheres."

The release of the yet untitled album is tentatively scheduled for autumn 2009 via Prophecy Productions.
