De Profundis - New Album Update

While British technical/progressive death metallers De Profundis haven't revealed much lately about their status, in a recent update they revealed that the follow-up to Kingdom Of The Blind (2015) and their new album is almost completed. A few days ago, the album's mixing process started. Their fifth album will be released later in 2017.

Taake - UK Dates With Fen, De Profundis Announced

With their appearance in London at the end of last year having sold out almost immediately, Norwegian black metallers Taake have announced that they will return to the UK to play four dates in April alongside UK favourites Fen and De Profundis. Due to other upcoming commitments, Fen are unable to do the London show and will be replaced by Winterfylleth. See the dates below.

Dark Tranquillity - To Release 'The Absolute' 7", Confirm More Shows

Legendary Gothenburg melodic death metal pioneers Dark Tranquillity will release a 7" single on March 24th, 2017 featuring the two tracks "The Absolute" and "Time Out Of Place", which have so far only been released as bonus tracks of the limited edition CD version of their latest album Atoma. Gruesome - Announce New EP, Share New Song

More music from Gruesome! The modern purveyors of old-school death metal have announced a new EP entitled Fragments Of Psyche. The EP further continues the band's homage to the legendary band Death and offers a glimpse into the next era of Gruesome. Fragments Of Psyche is due out March 31st via Relapse Records and features a two-song slab of Death Human-era worship including a brand new studio track with special guest drums from Sean Reinert (Death, Cynic) along with a "Humanized" reworking of Death's classic track "Choke On It" off of their second album Leprosy.

Farsot - Releasing New Album In April

FAIL·LURE, a blend between "failure" and "allure", is the title of the new album by German black metallers Farsot. Based on Peter Greenaway's "Drowning by Numbers" as well as several Art Nouveau works (e.g. Khnopff's "Ishtar", Klimt's "Mermaids" and "Water Serpents", Kotarbinskis "Kiss of Medusa" or Schwabes "La Vague"), the group has conceived their third album. The cover, showing a sculpture by French artist Denis Lavoyer, can be seen here.
