Megadeth - Gigantour Bands Confirmed

As previously reported over here, Megadeth's Gigantour is set to officially return sometime in early 2012. This announcement marks the fourth installment of the highly successful Gigantour event. In a recent interview, Dave Mustaine mentioned that Gigantour 2012 will include headlining acts Volbeat, Motörhead, and Lacuna Coil, besides Megadeth, of course.

Gigantour was founded by Megadeth frontman, Dave Mustaine, and has featured many heavy metal acts. The last Gigantour was back in 2008, and featured In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Job For A Cowboy and High On Fire.

This news comes a month before Megadeth's upcoming new album entitled Th1rt3en is released through Roadrunner Records. Previous information about Th1rt3en can be found here and here.

Megadeth just seem to be getting bigger and bigger. When are they going to start singing about dining room furniture?

Megadeth and Motorhead will be sweet! Hopefully we'll see something off of "Killing is My Business..." this time around.

LOVE that Mustaine totally adopted Volbeat. I hope this gets them some positive exposure and doesn't somehow ruin them for the American mainstream.

They're HUGE where they come from... just sadly unknown in the US, like so many quality metal bands. Rock the Rebel / Metal the Devil will forever be one of my favourite albums

They already have! They beat Metallica to it by a good few years with "Kick The CHAIR (That is me)". lol

Well, not too excited for that band that's only popular because Lars likes them Volbeat or Heavy Metal's Paramore Lacuna Coil... but Motorhead and Megadeth, fuck yea! If there are Canadian dates (which I doubt there won't be), going for sure...

I didn't realize that furniture was the inspiration for all things metal. We can now look forward to Satan's Sideboard, The Bookcase Of Doom, TV Corner Unit Of Hell and Death Desk.

I'm currently writing a song called "The Salt Shaker, It Is Me". See you guys at Gigantour.

See you guys at Gigantour.

Well I just formed a band called Putrid Pantry, and all we sing about is furniture and baked goods. I'll see YOU at Gigantour.

If James is the table, than Dave is the portable tray. It may not be as big, but it's more versatile and all around better.

he doesn't push to equal metallica... he pushes to one up them.

he won't be the table. or furniture.

he'll be the chandelier above the table.
