German thrashers Exumer just lost their former guitarist Holger Kolb also known as H.K. He played three years with the band until 2013 and lost his battle to cancer. R.I.P.

This is the official statement from the band: "RIP, HK. With a heavy heart we would like to say goodbye to our friend and guitarist, Holger 'HK' Kolb, today. HK passed away this last Friday after battling cancer nearly the entire last year of his life. HK was a talented musician and a wonderful person who will be dearly missed by all of us. Our deepest condolences go out to HK's family, friends and loved ones. Since his passing we had a few very difficult and sad days in our camp but knowing HK, he would've liked us to pick up the pieces and move forward. Please take a moment of your day and remember our fallen brother, especially if you had the pleasure to meet and get to know him. Or better yet, open a beer, crank up some Fire & Damnation - the last album that HK played guitar on - and feel free to 'like' this statement to show your support for HK, his family and friends. Rock on brother, wherever you are!"
