Guns N' Roses - Reunion Confirmed For Coachella 2016

As it turns out, the rumors were right about Guns N' Roses this time. The official announcement has been made and the band will perform at Coachella 2016 as headliners. The Guns N' Roses reunion will mark the first show for the band with co-founders Axl Rose and Slash since 1993. The legendary band will perform at the California-based festival on April 16th and April 23rd. Axl Rose and Slash will be featured in the lineup, with bassist Duff McKagan also involved. The rest of the lineup has not been revealed.

Deafheaven and Volbeat will also perform at Coachella 2016.

According to the magazine Billboard, Guns N' Roses is also currently in negotiations to do a 25-date stadium tour in North America next summer for which they're asking $3 million per show.

Nostalgia rock is lame. People living in the past will lap it up, no doubt. Fat old men on the stage and fat old men in the crowd. Strange that Izzy isn't confirmed yet. Also, I bet they leave out Steven Adler and go with Matt Sorum. This is so weak.

Not as lame. It just shows how irrelevant and uninfluential most of the 90s and 2000s bands were upon the metal scene. Then again, the best period for rock and metal in general were the 80s and early 90s. Not just sales-wise, but also judging from a musical perspective. That was the period when innovation within this genre was at its peak.

Poor fans...they will wait 4 hours in front of an empty stage and then Axl won't show up...

Fat old men on the stage and fat old men in the crowd...

while I agree with the fat men in the crowd, the only fat man on stage will clearly be Axl. Dude, Slash is in top form (still touring btw) and Duff hasn't lost a beat neither. And Adler is a mess; has been for a long time - so there is that

In regards to the article: it shows once again that MONEY talks. Fans wanted a reunion for years and now I guess Coachella made the first stride in giving them what they wanted. Don't be fooled, they will probably sell shit tons of tickets for their proposed tour and while I am not confident about the football stadium size venues, I bet huge indoor arenas will work just as well.

only Axl is fat , rest of men are in level as they were, seems they keep up whit body and whats funny Axl are milti millionaire, he can do what maradonna did, cut of stomack parts or go to the doctor to fix his body . Tankard singer after re start gigging became slimmer, gigs are fiscally hard to handle
Maybe he has a heart problem, I have a friend up to 22 he was same slim as I, then in 3 months he became legs, arms, belley, all became fat, and its not from food, I say bad heart and smoking, men gets fat in years from food, but not a way as my mate did

Strange that Izzy isn't confirmed yet.

Since Axl is still there, I doubt Izzy will be there. I'm suprised Axl and Slash are wiling to work together again, maybe they need the money.

gigs are fiscally hard to handle

At $3 million per show, the fiscal aspect of the gigs should be easy on the band.

Funny, I always wanted this to happen but now that it has I'm not all that excited. Probably because I know a ticket to their show is going to be way out of my price range. I think if an album was happening I'd be more involved.

Would love to have a good argument to this but it is kind of true. Me and my friends were all glam rockers in high school and whenever we went to reunion shows we were pretty much the only people under 40 besides parents dragging along their kids.

fiscal, adj.: of or relating to financial matters.
physical, ajd.: of or relating to the body.

You said one and meant the other, I pointed out the fiscal aspect isn't going to strain the band and I don't care about the physical toll on them.
It was a joke on your broken English, for once, making sense despite the error.
