Carcass - Guitarist Ben Ash Announces Departure
Carcass have announced a line-up change in the guitar department. After a five year stint, Ben Ash is no longer their guitarist, having just confirmed his departure. Tom Draper (Pounder, ex-Angel Witch, Primitai), his replacement, made his live debut with Carcass this past weekend at the Netherlands Deathfest at 013 in Tilburg.
Ben Ash said in a video: "At the start of 2018, I've decided to come away from the touring circuit, and focus on getting back into an educational role, and focus a bit on study and individual music projects. From the footage that I saw of the band playing Netherlands Deathfest, I knew they'd knock it out of the park. They sounded killer. And the chap that is in the place I was, is doing a crackin' job. And from the bottom of my heart, I wish the guys all the best for the upcoming shows this year."
