Meh, a very much by the numbers Sabaton song, for some reason some of their songs about the other "side" (Ghost Division, Bismarck) are much better

yeah that too, I wouldn't call it an insult but it's quite cheap that sometimes Sabaton panders to nationalism to increase their sales; now I am not saying that selling more albums is wrong by itself but if they are such history buffs they know that 9th of may is a dark day for what later became the "Eastern Bloc" - there was even an idea that because Poland was attacked by both USSR and Germany at the beginning of the war they are responsible for it so to resolve the situation the allies would need to attack and free Poland: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Unthinkable

TL; DR : I don't like the pro-soviet ideals that Sabaton promotes with this boring and uninspired song & video (at least other songs from nazi / soviet war perspectives like Ghost Division, Bismarck and Night Witches are great songs)

Those songs are good. This is not bad, but date when it was out, it's horrible, and sweden maybe is not Ukraine or Georgia, but still...

Song is by the numbers Sabaton, not bad but the first single was better. Biggest mistake the West made was to not go after the Soviets once the Nazis fell. That was a stab in the back to all the sovereign nations that fell to Stalin's greed.

They have become incredibly generic. The lyrics in this song are in at least one part taken straight from another song of theirs. I guess there are only so much things that rhyme with Stalin or whatever but still... But the worst part is that it's completely forgettable. I can't remember a single note after the video finished. For a band that relies on strong hooks that is the worst that can happen. I used to be massive fan of them, went to many concerts to see them. But their last album and the two new songs released so far are just boring - at least for me.

It sounds generic because it is a cover of a song that supposed to sound "Sabaton style". To sound like generic Sabaton. And it does. It's a bit of a joke to cover a Sabaton song not written by Sabaton.
BTW cheers to brainless commenters who repeat capitalist's propaganda and believe it is their own thoughts. Reading wikipedia is not equal to knowing shit. And to know shit is mandatory to have an opinion.

The west didn't even go after Nazi Germany until it was too late...

A dark day indeed. For nazis and their collaborators.
