Ivory Tower - Part Ways With Vocalist
After 8 years spent together, German prog/power metal outfit Ivory Tower have now announced the departure of vocalist Dirk Meyer. The band also share a final video with Dirk for the song "Passing". The latter appears on the group's last album, Stronger.
Statement fom the group: "Hey Metalheads! Unfortunately we had to decide as a band to continue without singer Dirk from now. A decision that was not an easy one and took a lot of time... We have done countless gigs together in the last seven years, released what we believe to be the best Ivory Tower album Stronger, had loads of fun together and achieved a lot of good things in general. We all wish Dirk the best and expressly emphasize to go apart without quarrel and resentment. Rock on Brother! Enjoy this video "Passing" from the album Stronger as a last greeting in this line-up! We will soon introduce you to our new singer! Look forward to it!"

Wow I had forgotten that band. I remember hearing "One life in Asia" from their debut on a sampler album (was it NTS, Replica Records or InsideOut, I can't tell).

Sad becvause he had own style to sing, I like way he did last album, I need listen all again, but to me it was one of surprises and best in a prog genre in that year. Amazing album, we will see maybe it was a mistake.
