Primus - Working On New Album

In a recent interview with The Spokesman, Primus bassist and vocalist Les Claypool revealed that the band has been working on ideas for their next album, which will be their first since 2017's The Desaturating Seven, but is not expected to be out too soon.

Claypool, who was also referencing Primus' current U.S. tour where they are performing Rush's classic 1977 album A Farewell To Kings in its entirety, said: "Some ideas are being thrown around, but we're not there yet. We will have a new album at some point. We're focusing on this tour and Farewell To Kings. That's enough for us for now."

I remember I really liked them until the Brown Album. Then they ran out of ideas in my opinion. I don't know, mixed feelings about this release. They still are a very good live act anyway.

The title of this article kind of feels like a reach, or maybe a desperate attempt at clicks. Going off those quotes, the next album could come out in 10 years for all we know. Technically "working on a new album" if they're not totally opposed to the idea, but still... a stretch.

Haha yeah bit of a misleading article title. Maybe just add a "?" and it's perfectly legit!
