Swiss thrashing maniacs Messiah announced that their former vocalist Andy Kaina has suffered a heart attack and passed away. He was the band's vocalist between 1990 and 1994, and also since the band's reunion in 2017 up until 2021..

Band statement about the loss; ''Dear Messiah fans & friends,
Unfortunately, today we have to bring you sad news and mourn the death of our friend ANDY KAINA. Andy suffered a heart attack and never woke up from the artificial coma. We are shocked and saddened and wish his family strength and all the best from the bottom of our hearts. His legacy lives on in the music of Messiah and we consider ourselves lucky to have recorded great albums with him. Andy, we will miss you!
