Old Man's Child - New Song Online

"Slaves Of The World", the new Old Man's Child song and title track of the new album has been put online at the band's MySpace.

"Slaves Of The World" will be released in May through Century Media Records. As previously reported, the eight Old Man's Child album was recorded last fall at Studio Fredman (Gothenburg, Sweden) with Fredrik Nordström, who had previously worked with the band on their "In Defiance Of Existence" (2003) and "Vermin" (2005) albums. The nine-song album will feature Peter Wildoer (Darkane, ex-Arch Enemy, Pestilence, etc.) on drums.

Weird song....very strange sound I must say, whats with the trashmetal drumming? I knew Galder said the album is a bit experimental but I hope the whole album doesnt follow this sound - bit of a bummer actually. Thats prolly what happens when u choose the dude from Darkane on drums But its not just the drumming that gets to me a bit....it just doesnt sound very "black" to me. Fair enough theyve never been an all out black metal band but this is just strange.

Interesting song for Galder to produce, though I did enjoy. I always love when bands try to experiment with new sounds, so I'm desperately waiting for what the rest will sound like.
