I was afraid you would have Judas Priest and Motorhead in it, but I see you explained why they aren't included. And you are totally right, they aren't part of the NWOBHM precisely for the reason you mentioned.

Very very solid list! Mine would look quite similar, especially Cloven Hoof, and Lightnign To The Nations would be bumped up too. my only gripe would be the saxon album you included is probably my least favorite by them in their early years, and i never could really get into death penalty.

Def Leppard are definitely NWOBHM, their early stuff especially. They were just more commercially accepted, and lumped in with the Sunset Strip scene.
