The record sounds pretty ambitious with its songwriting, but sometimes is a bit of a mess as well, what with the slightly unclear production and all. The guitar work on here is incredible, but the vocals don't really do anything for me.

Sounds more heavy metal as US thrash that time, still good, I somehow like more European thrash, because in 1985 how many known Euro thrash bands was there ?

Absolutely didn't expect this to be so good. Riffs are aggressive and double bass kick slapping your ass (like in the «The Eternal War», damn nice song). And probably second half is better in that regards.

I agree that vocals and production are the downsides of the record, and it is not so sophisticated as "By Inheritance", but for me this is pretty mature thrash metal with decent songwriting, definitely doing its job. Especially for 1985 (it weren't so much thrash records as you may think).
