If somebody mocked Manowar in a piece of news is just as bad. Sure, they deserve a mocking, but not when presenting news about what the band is doing/releasing etc.

"dinosaurs" was never used in the music press for something "big", but for something "old, obsolete" The music press used it to mock progressive rock artists and later on to mock 70s musicians trying to make a comeback in the 80 and even later. It's never been used in a positive manner.
