They sound a lot like Meshuggah at times, only faster, which I like a lot. It's definitely worth a few more spins

It's very interesting, specially when they reduce agresiveness and add soothing passages (Conflagrations, Threnody To A Dying Star).

This is a pretty solid release, it's seriously heavy stuff with such an excellent, powerful, meaty tone, but it's also very well crafted. There's such aggression in the chugging riffs and powerful drumming, and also in the harsh, powerful vocals, but then the softer parts and clean vocals are a pleasant surprise too, some of the leads are pretty impressive also. Some parts remind me of Opeth but then other parts remind me of Meshuggah also.

Yes, Opeth comes to mind especially with the slower parts but not only. i was listening to this and voidceremony today a few times already, both might end up on my year end list.

Progressive death metal album of the year for sure. A much slower tempo than BCI and Rivers of Nihil which are the best of what this genre has to offer, but they make it work. I can't get enough of this
