A good album overall, but damn does "Moans, Grief & Wails" stand out for me, some of those riffs are so satisfying

This album is definitely a 7.5 at least, some great vocals and very atmospheric moments. They even delve in to the clean/blasty Alcest sound at times, but without ripping them off. Definitely worth a listen, and think I'll have it on rotation for a while yet

This was amazing, Mononoke through Moans, Grief and Wails is incredible. The rest is also good but those three tracks were the best part for me

I completely agree about "Moans, Grief and Wails" being the stand-out track, that track is great. However, the rest of the album just falls short of that same quality. On the grand scale it's not a bad release, there's some pretty solid blackgaze moments, but as a whole, it doesn't captivate me as much as I expected it would.
