If anyone has any suggestions, feel free, I would really like to hear something from black metal or even if anyone has any doom metal drummers that stand out for them. I know I'm missing a lot of good shit, and would really like to hear it.

I always liked Jason Sherlocks for some reason... It's the only death metal band I actually like because of the drums I think...
He also played on the progressive band Altera Enigma, on the doom metal band Parameaecium and rumours is that he made the one man band Horde by himself

Yeah, this shit kicks ass. I'll probably check out some more of his stuff and add him, thanks for the rec.

Btw the only two Mortification albums where Jason played drums are Scrolls of Megilloth (or sth like that) and Post Momentary Affliction, I'd suggest you to check only those. After Jason left the band they changed dramatically their style into an average thrash metal band

Yeah, I noticed that haha. His work in Altera Enigma is pretty excellent. Added him and Jonas Renske, who I don't know how I missed.

Not doom or black metal, but Chuck Biscuits (from D.O.A, Circle Jerks, and most notably - in the context of metalstorm - Danzig). Not a complex drummer by any means, just has a unique style. Not to mention awesome stage presence (rare for most drummers). Despite being a canned music video, this is a pretty good representation of his live performances as well:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-apRCG2Nffc
Here's a choppy handi-cam of a live Danzig performance from '94. Unfortunately Biscuits is rarely in frame.

Really small kit, but makes it sound huge. Rumor has it he frequently played standing up as well. I think it was BitterCOld who was telling me he saw that Danzig line up in the 90s and Chuck played the whole show on his feet.

Damn, that is pretty cool haha. I'd say a drummer with that much stage presence is definitely innovative. Added.

Yeah, I'm pretty sad they never made more material in the 90's, or even participated in other projects for the most part.

Antti is in Winterwolf and Deathchain, and recently did some great vocals for a Baptism track.

Out of that stuff the main thing to check out is the Baptism track. Deathchain he is just some backing vocals guy, and I don't know a lot about it.

Winterwolf is kicking my ass right now, so I'll check that track out after this. I just realized I'm wearing a Demilich shirt right now. What a coincidence.

Jamie Saint Merat is a god drummer. Really up there in my favorite drummers of all time list, if I had one.

Leon Macey of Mithras probably. He is quite obscure considering I heard about them only few months back with the new album release, lel and his drumming is insane and probably on par with Jamie Saint Merat.
I would suggest Proscriptor McGovern of Absu too but don't think he is underrated. He is quite revered in the metal underground I guess.

Yeah, I was actually going to add Leon from Mithras after hearing their latest album, but completely forgot, so I'll add him now haha. I thought about adding McGovern from Absu when I originally made this list, but thought the same thing about him and his drumming being pretty appreciated as it is.

Finally got around to checking out that Baptism track. I'm glad I listened to the whole album first because once those vocals came around I was pleasantly surprised by the contrast compared to the black metal and clean vocals on the rest of the album. Good shit.

Listened to their studio albums and checked out some live stuff. The live stuff definitely sold me on him, he pounds the shit out of his kit.

Cool list! No particular suggestions yet (in terms of underrated or flying under the radar) but I'll think about it. Meanwhile +1
