I did a quick little torrent search just now and I believe the new album has leaked.

Yeah, it has leaked, but I'm not going to download it despite how much I am aching to hear the new material.

Yeah, plus we can hold out until your "pretty damn good vocal"'s come into play when the new record is out. Seeing as Extreme metal is totally your thing.

Just like Behemoth, Nile has a new track up at Ozzfest.com. I am currently listening to it and it's definitely Nile. Check it out.

Killer intro the song has. I like how the longest song title on the album is only 2:57 long, lol.

The new song that they put out on the ozzfest site is really brutal! I love the riffs and the crazy drumming and vocals. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!

I haven't even listened to the samples yet. I can't decide if I want to wait until it leaks or wait until it comes out.

Atleast im going to wait till actual release date, like im doing with all my favorite bands new albums (like every real fans do imo!). With new "unheard" bands the situation is differend thought.

I want to hear the album as soon as possible. The samples sounded awesome but I have only listened to them once, because I want to hear the whole thing as an entity. And the fact that I hear the album before I have a physical copy of the album in my hands doesn't make me any less of a fan.

I have and after only one listen I can say that it's en par with their other works. The production is similar to the one of AOTW, just a bit less powerful. I'm really satisfied with it altogether!

On first listen it reminded me of ITDS. I don't really know what to think of the album yet though.

Their new album "Ithyphallic" seems to be good, I've listened to "Papyrus Containing The Spell To Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks From He Who Is In The Water" and I've to say that's well-done, aggressive and hyped up stuff.

'Ithyphallic' is very similar to 'AOTW'. For me this album is good, well-made, but not as good as 'AOTW' (which I like the most)

Wow. I love the album so far (just finished track 2). They actually have some different melodic hooks this time.

More time changes, slightly better production (the drums are meatier than on AOTW.) The lyrics are better -- the themes seem a little more universal (i.e. not stuck on Egyptian history.)

Awesome. I was afraid the flavor might be stale by now, but this is superb metal.

The new Nile album is really great. Ithyphallic in some ways is similar to Annihilation Of The Wicked, but somehow I like Annihilation Of The Wicked more, because of the sound.

I have to say, I now like this album more than all of the other Nile albums.

Ithyphallic is just grand death metal, no matter how you cut it. The drums have been brought up in the mix a little, which is EXACTLY what I wanted to hear since Annihilation. The music is vicious, and covers an even broader range of tempos. There are more of those bizarre note bends that make the sound exotic. George's drumming is more expressive this time, and I think I can sense his creative input in the songwriting (he was a co-writer this time around).

It's miraculous that Nile can still make this style sound fresh and good.

If you actually read the thread you'd know that we are well aware of that. Plus, this happens all the time. Something like 90% or more of the so called "mainstream" albums leak before the official release date. Mainstream meaning non-underground bands.

I've been listening to Nile a bit lately. I finished 'ITDS' and 'AoTW' a little earlier and am listening to their self titled demo right now. It's actually quite an entertaining listen. I've read it's Chief Spires on vocals, which are a much more clean than anything Nile ever uses these days. Not to mention the music is much closer to a type of Thrash Metal. However, you can sometimes feel that signature Karl Sanders guitar sound in there. I'm going to give their first full length a listen a little later today. I plan on seeing them July 6th, so hopefully I can do to that.
