I've had the same problem recently. My connection is fine, other sites work fine, but MS takes a minute or two before I can load a page sometimes. And sometimes it loads and says it can't connect to the server.

Maybe Ivor's messing around with stuff, or Ivan.

Question about guest reviews: I wouldn't mind writing them sometime, but the policy about writing them exclusively for MS is a problem; I will want to publish the reviews I write also on my Rate Your Music profile. Is it OK to post them there was well (with a link to the MS page, perhaps) after they're featured here?

Simply put...no. To be honest even as a (former) reviewer myself, I never fully understood the exclusivity clause, but it's been that way since before I spent time lurking here as a non-registered user.

Can't imagine them being allowed, but are referral sites forbidden in signatures, and or Websites in personal details? ie AdF.ly

I don't see anything in our FAQ that suggests otherwise.

Is the Suggest Bands feature able to separate bands with the same name? I tried suggesting the Finnish band Constantine but can't find them in the search, despite it telling me they're already suggested. All I can find is the Greek band.

Do song lyrics have to be submited in the language they are performed in? Or can they be submitted in english if that's what the album booklet has them in?

Hm. I don't think there's actually a field for that. Normally the lyrics appear like this:

IN SOVIET RUSSIA, LYRICS READ YOU
---
IN CAPITALIST AMERICA, BANK ROBS YOU

That was me translating Russian to English in case you were confused.

It depends on your keyboard - from what I understand different countries have different keys, but if you look at the key to the left of your Enter button (the one with the \ character), hit that while holding Shift.

Shift + \ = |
