By Inheritance - the album that shook the Metal Storm world when it penetrated the top of the best albums list. Luckily, the Rust In Peace fanboi battalion was there to protect their prized jewel from the... well, pardon the pun, the heavy Artillery. With that scare in the past, this album has taken a stable place in the top 200 albums of all time (#154 at the time of this review).

Is it bad that I have never even heard of this band until I saw it leading in the top 200 charts? I must listen to them immediately!

Almost just as hilarious to give The Mantle and Ashes Through the Grain a 1 rating.

Anyway, this is the greatest thrash album ever, with no close competition.

A very good album but clearly overrated by loads of people nowadays.
Had it been realeased in the heydays of thrash it wouldn't have got the appraisals it currently is getting and even back when it was released it was judged on its merits. Good but nothing earthshattering or mindblowing.

This actually sounds much better than the overrated stuff of Metallica and Megadeth... Maybe it's the "First Listen" effect, but I like it.

Well.. this album is a tad overrated . The first five songs are absolute classics, while the next songs are actually filler. Still I think its an essential album just for the first five songs. "Terror Squad" is a far superior album imo.

I've had this album for about 3-4 years, but the songs after "Don't Believe" are a complete blur, cant remember a thing after that song.

okay Razzamanazz is a favourite as well but due to female goings on at the time

I like the technicality of the music on offer her, it makes the album sound so classic and pure. I also love the concept and how the band integrates that into the nature of the music, but the vocals aren't really my thing-they just don't seem to fit well with the other instruments in my opinion. That said, this album is certainly the band's best in my opinion.

Wow, it got those votes really quickly. I think half a year ago it had like 120 votes. Need to give this album another spin sometime.

I bought the reissue at a very low price (like 3 euros) at some mainstream music store in Ukraine.

A thrash classic up there with 'Ride the Lightning', 'Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?','Hell Awaits', 'Bonded By Blood' etc. Their first two albums seem like crude warmups in comparison.
