Damnated I just wanna know something
Sleeping Sun once told that lyrics ha sin old romanian and she cant understrand something from those lyrics, you understand them, I eman are thay realy in old romanian and some song titles isn not posible translate like band name, what menas ban name in english?

As taka said, the lyrics are in old romanian, and are very hard to understand. When I was interested in the lyrics of 'N Crugu Bradului I first read the english translations

Ah, I dunno. The language wich they use in their lyrics is extremly old, non of us speak it now. There are only a few words that there are still in use, but the rest is forgotten, or changed by other languages. I think the first romanians would perfectly understand Negura Bunget

I know soem slavic and dacian what is this
But I wish I can learn some old slavik and my dream are I wish I can know all sicrets of history after end of Roman Emire

Viking metal is a mix between folk and black metal, with some extra elements. Negura plays folk black metal, so I guess on some point, the two genres are similar.

@K-man Dacia was a country on the place of Walachia and those regions, some say, Transilvania was also a part of it. I say google it

Angels Die - its Black metal, but diferent how Scandinavia, its better and based on ancient thinks, and more better how Scandic BM bands
Taka and Damnetede - I know it but i didnt know ythay has them language, and in romania in nowdays are some language dialacts by regions dunno, in Transilavia and other parts

The romanian language inherited about 150 words from dacian. And ofcourse there are different dialects in different parts of Romania, but this is common in almost every country.

A very interesting band i have their CD "'N Crugu Bradului" its odd... thats all i can say really.

I find it really odd that usually the listeners of Negura Bunget,that are not Romanian,usually know only N Crugu Bradului.ideed,it is an excellent album,but I still wonder why this album has become their most recognized of them all.maiastru sfetnic is also a great album.and I believe Sala Molksa and inarborat Kosmos are worth mentioning,altough they are EP's.

but all in all,this is a great Romanian band,probably the best one so far in the extreme metal area

K7 : Why are you so against Scandinavian black metal? Does the orgin really matter? Thats rather silly in my opinion, good bands can come from all over the place..

Why?

Because I cant see in new bands leaders of armies of darkness and moust of bands arent good, in beggining of 90ties so good bands, but now Nigfar and Marduk, tottaly owerated.

Im not agianst, but i had chacek almoust all band in MA; for example in Sweden I found 40 unknow bands what I like, same time I chaked 200 french and german bands I like almoust all and this are main reason in Scandianvai only old school and old bands are greeat, new isnt so good

You should. But I say, start with their previos work, so try to buy their bix set, wich contains Zîrnindu-să, Sala Molksa and Măiastru Sfetnic. The price is relatively cheap. And you'll get a poster to

i simply canot stand one song by the without skipping.the production is so bad even by ROMANIAN"underground"bm standards(note the caps-locked romanian,as i consider this damn country to be one of the poorest in europe,so guys who haven't heard any song by them yet,they can have an idea of the production,and consider bathory,which as quorthon is swedish,they have extremely bad production,think about what the guys at negura could afford
what's the point of having geniuses as instrumentists(assuming they have geniuses,which people think about them) if you can't hear anything?
if i listen to one of their songs,i hear some "all men play on fourteen" guitar,drums,no bass at all,and an occasional "RAAAAAAAAAAGH" all in a cacophony
their live shows may be better(considering the quality of the sound),but i have no desire atm to see them live

I agree! I just downloaded the video from the website and and i can't hear shit! The video is pretty messed up as well! Just scenery! I don't know if they were going for the whole "low production values=true black metal" thing but how can you decide if the music is good if you can't hear anything?

First of all , you should stay away from black metal if you "cant hear anything" or go to a doctor to check your ears. I mean just because it doesnt sound like thoose "crystal clear" power metal songs you like so much doesnt mean that it has low musical value.
And if you didnt know this production is pretty good. It brings a nice feeling to the music and its not really bad on your ears. You can also hear most of the instruments rather clear, unless you dont know what they sound like....

@ Cursed : Theese guys have like 10000 better production that Quorthon (R.I.P) ever could afford during his early Black era, so please listen to the music before playing all-knowing.

And for thoose that didnt know Im not a fan of Negura bunget, im just a person intressted in checking out their works, and the Vid / song posted on their webpage is really good.

i haven't listened to the black metal bathory but i have listened to some of the viking metal period.
anyway this band(negura) just isn't my cup of tea.in fact it spills it
and sorry but i simply cannot hear anything.i may be deaf,but i simply cannot hear anything besides what i have mentioned the page before
sure,i may like overproduced power metal,but at least it's not offending to my ears like negura
and btw that's why i don't like black metal,except maybe dimmu borgir or catamenia,out of the bm i listened to so far.

Maiestru Sftenic has also good production. But there is a difference between the sound of the two albums. 'N Crugu is more post black metal.

ok,things are getting out of hand here
so maybe i'll stop looking for the band's mp3s if maiastru has "good" production(sorry,i'm not underrating the band but the production ruins everything)

Well, i've been playing drums for two years now so i think i have a slight ideea of what instruments sound like! And another thing, if this production is "pretty good" then what is Dimmu Borghir's, super-duper-trooper good? Having said that i only listened to the video i downloaded of Negura so i don't know if their discs are of the same quality, yes it is my fault for judging them on one thing! But still, there are black metal bands out there i like with decent production values i.e Carpathian Forest.

demon burger is a big, rich band, they care about the production now, and not the actual music. the albums have a good production.

I thought it was a good decision to buy Terrorizer this month and i was right! Negura Bunget is an awesome band. I have only heard 'OM' so i can't talk in very much details. What i like about them is the ambience in the music. The songs have a great feeling to them. The opening track on 'OM' had a weird vocal. Like someone who had lost something precious grieving over it...THAT should have been Darth Vader's "nooooooooooo"...(sorry, but a few screams there completely reminded me of that horror).
The production is great for a black metal band and all the instruments i care about are clearly understandable. The guitars are really enjoyable. My favorite in black metal after Windir. I will definately be looking for their older material also.

Negura Bunget is one of the best Eastern European acts, The production of 'N Crugu Bradului is clear enough and that special effect on the fourth song is really enjoyable. The new release Om is also great stuff, the only thing that I must say I don't like is the native lyrics though it is theirs to choose. Sadly, I did not attend on their gig with Primordial in Sofia.
